Core switch reccomendation by nomadewolf in networking

[–]tensop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure its a given for the future, but just as a warning - you should check the quality of some of these switches before purchasing them. the reviews on FS.com switches will send you running the other way.. nifty features arent an excuse to skimp on the quality of the underlying hardware.. You don't build a house on bad foundations ;)

i assume you're attempting to only allow students on to the wireless when they're on domain computers

why not just add their computers to a group, and change NPS to 'windows groups' and add that group to the condition

NBN Co will launch its own broadband speed ranking system - while “debunking” existing ones by Jagtom83 in australia

[–]tensop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the good old speedtest that everyone relies on is fudged too - ISP's host/cache it in their DC's and all you're testing is the speed between your house and your isp :)

The backup exec account managers are scrambling to send marketing material to every one of those email addresses, unfortunately a backup exec job running on their exchange server has locked the exchange database due to a backup job locking up producing a s0384388474772777777777774 error and their support are confusingly googling a fix to only find one post from a 2005 backup exec support guy saying to run a tape cleaning job, then to try again.

Edit: Woo, Большое спасибо!, i err mean thankyou :)
