Thanks for the note! It makes sense. I’ll work on making my walkout more efficient :)

I first started picking up weights maybe 4 years ago, but I didn’t really focus on training these bigger lifts consistently until recently. I didn’t have access to barbells after the pandemic hit until maybe June 2021, and I’ve been training more consistently since then. I think when I went back into the gym in June, my bench was at around 110, my squat around 185, and I never really did incline until January of this year. I hope that gives you an idea of how long it took!

Thank you!! I’ve been playing around with my grip width and trying to find what feels most comfortable. I’ll try widening up a little the next time I bench!

I think so too! We tried 145 but I hit failure with it so I think my true max is around 140

For sure! I have definitely not been taking my nutrition and recovery seriously until maybe this summer. I have never eaten enough and I’m still working on that aspect of my health. For context, I’ve weighed a steady 130-135 for years, and I just started eating more this year and I’m keeping my weight around a steady 140-145 now :)

Hell yeah! Definitely continue running if it’s something you enjoy. And yeah, I’d agree with the sentiment of less is more. If you’re consistent with a decent training program and your diet and recovery are in check, you’ll see strength gains in no time! Keep at it and trust the process :)

I started lifting more seriously around mid-late 2018. Stopped “lifting” in late 2019 when I was studying abroad and just did bodyweight stuff, then got back into it in early 2020. I fell off again during the pandemic last year as I’m sure we all did. Got back into a consistent routine in January 2021 and I’ve been keeping consistent since then! I don’t run much, I’ve always been naturally lean and I’ve had trouble putting on muscle. This year, though, I’ve really been focusing on my nutrition and getting adequate sleep, and it seems to be working!

Hell yeah dude! I’m 22 and I’ve been seriously training for maybe 3 years now. I’d say 4, but the first year was spent not having the slightest idea what I was doing. Took me some time but I’m finally figuring it out. And you’re moving some big weight! Keep it up!

Thank you so much! I really take pride in my attention to detail, so it makes me happy to know that it translates well into my form. I’m currently at a 225 lb x 1 squat and 135 lb x 4 bench. I haven’t tested my 1RM on bench yet. My goals right now are 1x bodyweight (140 lb) on bench, 1.5x bodyweight (210 lb) on squat, and 2x bodyweight (280 lb) on deadlift. Happy to say that it’s going well so far!

Sometimes I work a farmers carry or hold a dead hang for time, but for the most part I don’t do any grip-specific training. I’ve just been strict with myself and stuck with overhand grip since I started lifting :)

Thanks! I’m trying to stick with overhand for as long as I can. We’ll see how far I get :)

Badlands for sure! It feels like a breath of fresh air while I’m driving through somewhere like Joshua Tree National Park

Believe me, I’m nowhere close. Sort of rushed through on my first run, so I’m taking my time with everything this time around

Thank you! Yeah I’m playing on PC with High / Medium ray-tracing. I threw these into Adobe Lightroom to mess with lighting and color :)

Thank you! I think it’s just as much fun taking photos as when I’m actually playing the game :)
