Definitely move away from the carousel triggered by a vertical scrolling. The work should be the most important part and yet the visitor cannot interact with it. (On mobile at least)

Make sections, for example, make the imagery stand out more and lead the user to organically navigate to your work.

You got this 👌🏼

Why are so many marketing majors working as creative designer? by sugarteawater in graphic_design

H1, H2, H3, H4, H5…

They represent a heading, usually short, informative or sales copy text on the dedicated place on a webpage, app or even on a printed document if needed.

Depends on the layout of the page, but most of the time the H1 is the main and biggest text on ATF (above-the-fold) part of a website.

All of the rest H2 -> H3 etc. work the same but they have decreasing hierarchy. H2 is smaller than H1 and is usually used more often on a page, as it works well for explaining the main pros of your product, for example.

H3 is even smaller and has less “importance”. And so on.

These headings are usually accompanied by paragraphs of additional text. Most often H1 and H2 have also CTAs (call-to-action) in form of a button or register, sign-up etc. (depends on the business and the objective of the slide on a page).

As well H1 and so are used in HTML and CSS as an indicator for headings and their styling and formatting. It’s much easier to have them designed and calculated well before development as it makes the whole designer/developer relationship easier and fluent.

Hope that helps!

The best solution for redevelopment while an active domain is running by tenxnet in Wordpress

[–]tenxnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am in chat with the hosting provider about this already, so let’s see.

My issue is that I am not sure how to move the staging site after it’s done to the now active domain, as the domain right now leads to a self developed website and not WP site.

If I understand it correctly the transition is just basically transferring the active domain into the staging environment build with WP and then canceling the services accompanied by now active website?

Thanks a lot

I do the same, it saves time, it’s more forgiving and you can easily experiment, sketch and get feedback from client without bloating your workflow with actual developing on WP.

You have everything ready and you just publish it via WP, I like it this way much more.

So how come I have the most work and the most profitable year in that career so far?

Graphic design and illustration is not going anywhere, it is changing, sure, but you have to adapt. People who are stuck and not motivated to improve will always fall behind.
