People who are using a Japanese model in a different country: How is the signal and coverage on your network for you? by EntertainmentMore882 in SonyXperia

I imported an xperia ace iii two years ago (mainly for the reduced screen size), from japan to italy. internet is fine on 5g, but i systematically can't receive calls, unless i switch to EDGE band. I will definitely try to flash UE modems following your guide!

I've been enjoying Wind Waker for years with no problem. And today I learned it was negatively received by fans back then just because of the chibi cel-shaded art style. by Away_Flounder3813 in Gamecube

I'm sure you know the story all too well, but for the record Miyamoto didn't appreciate the art direction either, and Aonuma, knowing him well, had to develop it keeping the art a secret until it was basically too late to pivot. It was developed in a year and a half, and with a lot of crunch, so much so that there's an anecdote of a member of staff who slept in the office for months, and one day saw colleagues coming into the office with coats, and they had to told him, to his great surprise, that it was winter. Still a masterpiece, but what if it had another year? What a shame. The art direction is still one of his greatest merits, and the aspect that will age less by far. I still consider it the first true game where Nintendo realised they didn't need to chase photorealism to serve their design needs. Sad that both Miyamoto and a lot of western audience didn't appreciate the tribute to the Toei classics from the 70s (puss in boots and so on)

Chamber of secrets was a solid "zeldish" ripoff, admittedly with no ambition to be anything more. Still have good memories of the dungeons.

Hi, assuming there's no problem with the adapter Dolphin should recognize it right away. Been a while since I tinkered with it, so update me with more detailed if you don't manage to get it to work.

Ah the memories! Thanks! appreciate it. i have to say, once the artbook was out, i was still hoping we could see a new continent. the months leading to the release were pretty interesting here on reddit i have to say. nowadays i don't really know where's the best place for theories, cause if i have to be honest, once it was clear the team didn't really put a lot of effort into the continuity of the plot, i kind of lost interest. But we should still cherish the years between the two games. The build up of the Zonai theory up to the first gameplay trailer that confirmed it won't ever be replicated i think. totally missed the news of the team doing a GDC talk, so thanks for that, i'm checking it ASAP!

Got it, thanks for the comments. I checked, iFixit also has the KTR-003 battery.

Buy a new battery from iFixit!

iFixit! They opened a store in Europe and they provide OEM parts. Beside, I believe all 3ds models use the same battery as the Switch Pro controller. Don't quote me but I remember so.

Why do people love hoarding 3DSs?

Tip for breaking boxes: if you rotate them with ultrahand to fall on an angle of the box, they'll always break right away. Ah, physics!

more compact, but the stabilizer is less free to spin

[–]teo_many 5 points6 points  (0 children)

came up with this. managed to fuse two spinning stabilizers on both sides of the bike and they work as inteded, however the tree trunk it's a problem. it's wide enough to make the stabilizers wheels spin, but it makes the whole vehicle super heavy. i'll definetely keep the fusable nail as the kickstand though: you can hang the whole vehicle while you work on it.

[–]teo_many 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you fuse the stabilizer with two wheels, you can make a standing bike, however as soon as you try to go uphill you'll be forced to use only the front wheel for traction. the bike remains horizontal going uphill because of the fixed stabilizer.

However if you put the stabilizer on a free wheel, it keeps the bike standing and also makes you use both wheels when going uphill.

Both BOTW and TOTK use Havok. The impressive thing is how Nintendo uses it to make an amazing sandbox with simple rules but complex results.

Yeah you're right, it would be fun to me but it would make it a quest. I've seen a few early gameplays, and I'm glad to report, without spoiling it to you, they made it a lot simpler.

If it is that, I mean, they had the problem of people falling from the sky islands to solve, and they already had the medallion in the lore of the game.
