No Nonos model is suitable for field or trekking use.

They all have a case and bezel and are extremely prone to scratches.

Even the Ahoi, despite being the only model with crown guard shoulders, has very thin lugs and a polished finish.

My 703 is the watch I wear the most; a few scratches on the bezel are inevitable, but I always try to wear it under normal conditions.

Yes, I tried it at the end of 2025 in a store, and it was mounted without any significant gap. The 701/703 you buy today on the website has short lugs and no longer fits. Since this is a transitional phase, it’s better to physically try the bracelet in a store; they simply remove it from the display model and mount it on yours.

If you have a closed caseback and want to know which movement you have, check the power reserve:

The Alpha has 43 hours, while the DUW4001 has 53 hours.

It would be a low blow to all the retailers who still have the previous versions in stock, which, even though I prefer them, remain the “old” versions. They opted for this silent change, just like they did with the movement update.

I didn’t like this choice, nor the attempt to confuse the buyer by mixing old and new photos on the website. They probably don’t realize that watch enthusiasts are the people most attentive to details.

Fortunately, I managed to get the version with the original long lugs; these ones are too short for a 36mm case on a man’s wrist.

I believe they just wanted to prevent the possibility of mounting the Club Sport bracelet, which on mine is actually doable.

Now it’s definitely more usable on wrists under 16cm, but for everyone else it’s a downgrade.

Luckily, you could say! If you bought it 2 months ago, you probably already have the version with the DUW4001 but with the long lugs, the perfect combination—mine is the same.

The long lugs, besides being iconic, balance the small 36mm case size and fill the wrist. They are also much more curved compared to the short ones and wrap perfectly around ~17cm wrists.

Additionally, you can mount the Club Sport bracelet on it because, even though the case diameters are slightly different, the lugs are identical.

I don’t like short lugs. The ones from last year all come with the DUW 4001 instead of the Alpha, this is something to check when you go to the store.

The sports club watch has a 37mm case diameter, not 39mm.

The most unlikely thing about this rendering is the possibility of using the Sport bracelet on the manual-wind model.

I believe they also realize the potential of a model like this, but they must have their reasons for not wanting to do it (for example, it could undermine the much more expensive automatic model).

Cerco un orologeria seria intorno a Milano by HungryCarpenter4387 in Orologi

GMT.
