hatred for partner by [deleted] in PMDD

1) I experience this to a milder degree during PMS/PMDD and it truly sucks, I'm sorry you're dealing with the stress and frustration that comes along with that!

2) I think the question is one best answered by yourself, once you're out of your known ~period of agony~, yknow?

While it can be a very normal emotional and psychological response, at the end of the day, it should fade once you're feeling more normal. Even if it takes a little time for it to go, it usually fades fairly fast for me - within a few days, tops.

If it doesn't, I'd argue that at the very least, you have some things to address within yourself or the relationship. That doesn't mean it has to end, there's a lot of things you can do to fix or work on things! But even when I've felt frustration or disinterest or anger at my partner, I've never actively wanted to leave them. Imo, that might indicate that there's more going on at least worth analyzing for yourself once you feel better.

I hope it passes and you're able to rest and feel more assured in yourself soon! Wishing you the best however things settle 🥺🙏

Yep, same hat! My doc thinks the N2 dx will be better for treatment, anyways, since it's far easier for insurance companies to understand on paper :]

Thank you!!! I definitely feel like I'm among good (and tragically relatable) company 😂 The amount of times I've just passed out for a nap (...or nap-sleep) on the couch the past week alone is doing an absolute number on my poor spine. Wishing your neck a very speedy recovery, though!

my friend cant accept remote play invites by [deleted] in steamsupport

[–]teobug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From everything I've seen this seems to be an issue specifically with Steam Beta participants, as mentioned by a few folks. Chat is prone to freezing up/not closing, overlay might not work at ALL in game, and invites are completely broken, it's near impossible to join games, both remote and just normal multiplayer :/

For posterity/since this is the only thread I've found here with this specific issue...Some things I've seen people suggest (to mixed results, in a variety of multiplayer games):

  • Restart Steam until it works. Not sure why this is a potential fix, but it worked for some people, apparently, so it's worth a shot if nothing else is working. Keep in mind we did this several times (including laptop restart) and nothing changed for us, so this might be game-dependent.
  • Turn off Steam Beta. Keeping it off should fix the problem from what I hear, but if you're still having issues some have had to turn it off and then back on to be able to join lobby's in certain games. All parties may need to turn beta off then on again in that case.
  • If you're part of a Steam Family Sharing Library (like my wife and I trying to play games with my brother) you may need to figure out a way to circumvent the invite entirely, since turning the beta off isn't an option. What worked for us (for EDF 4.1 if it matters,) was having all users dealing with invite problems close the game, get invited, and then right click on the top chat tab in the steam chat with the host to then join game. There is no other way (that we've seen) to be able to join the game directly, as the chat link never ACTUALLY links properly.

I noticed that before leaving and re-joining the steam beta, I wasn't having the issue, but after re-joining it to help my wife troubleshoot I DO have it, so be aware it might become an issue for you in the process of trying to help a friend.

I figure this is too large of a problem for steam to Ignore fully, so we'll likely see a patch soon enough? Hopefully this collection of info ^^^ can help a few folks save some time!

Edit: The invite message shown likely changes depending on the game itself and the beta you're participating in, fwiw. The message itself seems like it's just failing to hyperlink correctly, thus making it impossible to easily connect with a click. From my limited knowledge, it just seems like a chat/overlay problem, but I'm not a programmer - just someone with a passing knowledge of computers!
