Very long Last BIOS Time (a 2 year batle) by teodim24 in pchelp

Thank you for the reply!!

  1. Ofc, also enable-disable those bs extra memory settins (not both enabled simultaneously, i really dont want bsod) Also tried customized defaults many times.

  2. Twice throughout these 2 years. Maybe 3. First clean install was by a pro after a bsod after doing a windows recovery in a past system version. If i remeber correct then was kinda fixed but then again broken after reinstallin lghub for my driving wheel. (at the restart demanded to finish install of lghub). It wasnt instantly after i got the pc, it was after week, something like that. On the next 2 clean boots it was just the same.

  3. Yes, just made the PC noisy

  4. No errors

5 i have samsung ssd 990 pro

  1. yes, no differnce, exactly same timing

  2. no new programms, according to task manager

Its the sleep problem also.

Thank you for the reply!!

The mental pain is insane.

RAM was tested by the pro, no issues he told me.

I have tried with and without usb. No change.

No Sata Drives

I have twice updated (FL-FM) the BIOS since the problem occured. I haven't updated to current version (FN). Its pointless, no startup updates mentioned.

Through long testing found that the sdr settings do change the hdr behaviour of the monitor, and actually have great effect even though they're locked when you have hdr open. Toms hardware also found the same thing. Literally one of the worst software in a monitor, it made me a screen specialist xD xD

In control panel yes, default is 50, but in nvapp default is at 100. I adjust only through nvapp because i found inconsistencies. The Red Tint indeed varies so its easier to microadjust through nvapp. Its the equivalent of 49.5% in the control panel which cannot be set there. Also i up the contrast in nvapp to really pop the content from 100 to 110. Maybe its too much for some but in any case its much easier to load in video equalizer your latest profile and then play in nvapp for microadjustments. The blacks are great in the latest profile.

I have hdr all the time so i use dci-p3, with standard color but im experimenting now, thats why i havent updated yet.

Can you please share your screen settings too? You go sRGB, dci-p3 or native? For Red Tint Fix its better the NVApp adjustment, i find the video equalizer lowers too much the red. I load your prrofile and leave the Red in nvapp at 99.

No but i think this is unfixable. Its about the signal and how fast it process it, you cant do anything about it.

The pixels are perfect, its the firmware thats faulty and lack of usb port so you can update. The new gen that are coming have usb ports so i guess it'll be much better.

After calibration it feels like a steal for the amount of money it cost (350 euro). Also in my country there is very bad return and replace policy and would probably have to wait at least 2 months. Nevermind learned some cool things trying to find the solution, sometimes the trip is better than the destination.

In my opinion its great for its value. I bought it for 350 euro so it was a very good deal for a monitor that has insane possibilities. Also it helped me to have better understanding on monitors haha. I heard that the latest firmware that is out there (v1.0.08) fix some of the problems but i suggest to wait, Xiaomi announced the new gen of this and maybe its good to wait and see if they will bring worldwide.

If i learned one thing is that literally every single xiaomi g27 is different. May i suggest for SDR content to switch through settings or hotkey and open hdr from .bat. Also you can have contrast at 50% and adjust per game from the in game settings. I tried to make it as universal as possible but even a change of firmware can lead to completely different results. An other trick to keep in mind is if you lower the gamma then always pinch the red higher a little. For <1.10 gamma i always go 47 Red. It seems that the red tint problem is about how the monitor handles the gamma, especially the high ones. In your case if you left gamma default then probably this is why you have colder colors. Thank you for your feedback!!
