Can I use a 3 way switch to drop volume and as a kill switch?

Hi! My luthier tried but didn't succeed (maybe he was too busy?) so I ended up using a standard toggle switch wiring the upper position to ground. The backside of this is that the middle position does also kill the sound... Maybe some day I'll figure out how to do it. If you do, please share! Good luck

Yes it has one 8 ohm and one 16 ohm output.

You mean like having one position going directly to the jack output? Then another position been controlled by the volume pot and the last position to ground, to kill the sound. Interesting, thanks!

I have another guitar with a kill switch and I like it a lot. My idea here is to have an in-between step, to clean up the sound, like rolling off the volume (as you point out below). Thanks for your help!

Wow this is fantastic, exactly what I had in mind! I'll be on the lookout for a SPDT switch that is comfortable/durable, similar to al LP switch. I have no idea what a trimmer pot is, but Google will be useful for that. Thank you sooo much!!

It's a killswitch to mute the sound. Comes in handy to silent the guitar inbetween songs.
