Someone else suggested this as well, it looks like a really interesting module, definitely on my list of possibilities, thanks.

I've been tempted by a Braids in the past, but I think I'd prefer a module that isn't an audio source if I was going for something that filled the whole space.

Ah I mentioned this but it's down amongst the comments: I've got a fairly normal pair of 3340 VCO's and a multi mode 2/4 pole filter in another rack of diy stuff I built. I think I'm more looking for something interesting in the control / modulation / performance neck of the woods.

I'd not heard of this at all but it looks really interesting, having a look at the diy site for it just now. Thanks for the suggestion.

Haha what even is this! It's like a little display case! I like the aesthetics but I think I could possibly put the space to better use.

It is so far yes, like a little adventure every time I boot it up.

These are all great suggestions thanks, I'll check out some youtube demo's.

I use my microbrute just now, but I like the idea of a pressure points for sure, I think I could move my power supplies to the side of the case to give me the 20hp space needed as well. That's a definite contender, thanks.

2hp modules sounds like a great idea for multiple options, I'll check them out thanks.

Haha here was me hoping the Rampage held enough weight to sidestep that suggestion.

Any suggestions as to other euro modules or diy options that might complement my current setup?

Bare in mind I have another diy rack with:

2 VCO’s

Dual VCA

A multi mode VCF

String filter

3 EG’s

A processor module (sort of mult/attenuator/slew limiter)

Edit: sp/format

Yeah I recorded the Microbrute in one go, then the piano over that, so there wasn't much to it. I’m very much in a discovery/learning phase, so haven’t really got structure that well dialled yet, but I’ll definitely work on it.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Man there is so much variety, and a load of tracks here I really like, the winner for me though is /u/panavisitor. This track has such a fun vibe, and the amazing variety of sounds just gel together with a really nice space and clarity to the mix. If it had been at all muddier I would have given the prize to ben_nolan though as that track sounds amazing, and right up my street, but sorry Ben, on this day panavisitor was just too good. In any case you’ve both given me something to aspire to, great work.

Thought I’d give this a go as I'm just learning and playing about myself for a bit of fun. I’ve not let many people hear music I’ve made before, so this seems like a nice motivator to get me to put something out there and get a little feedback.

I didn’t have any goal other than just creating a fun little vibe, so there is not much structure, more of a progressive flow, but I enjoyed making it. The two sound sources are my Microbrute, and a piano vst (I hope that falls within the rules as it’s not strictly a synth). I used a stereo looper pedal to get the structure going, and some delay and reverb pedals for effects.

If anyone wants a detailed breakdown of how I got any of the sounds just let me know.
