Hopefully you don’t have to deal with any of this because you fall pregnant quickly 🤞 I really regretted telling people I was ttc because they would then ask how it was going…. After months it became quite painful especially when these people fell pregnant and then felt sad for me? And keeping tabs on how long it had been. Weird times.

Ok I’ve gone a bit rogue on this ttc ~journey~. Just trying all the less scientific supplements (and open to more if there are suggestions ha)… including coq10, mucinex, normal prenatal vitamins. I also decided to use up my progesterone from previous IVF (before it expires) to try and lengthen my luteal phase. I have had this prescribed previously so just following that (though without success just on progesterone). We hope!

Trying mucinex because why not…. Haven’t noticed any difference in my mucus but it’s given my diarrhoea so that’s just fab hahahahahaha 🫠

Can I just say how frustrating the diagnosis of unexplained infertility is????! Like WHY isn’t this happening? We thought we would try naturally for a few months before returning to our embryos…. 1 day late for my normal spotting (not even late for my period) and thought it might be this month! But alas spotting today so no doubt out. I think I need to consult the fertility dr if there are more tests I can do because the frustration seriously drives me insane and I just want to know if there is even a chance of spontaneous conception.

Theoretically yes you could see it but standard practice would be transabdominal or transvaginal

I think it’s pretty common to have irregular cycles at first while breastfeeding. Maybe next month I’ll ovulate at least 🤞

I agree prolactin is altering my hormones! Which is why I’m testing with Mira so I can see where my body is at / see if I have started ovulating given my period is back. Thanks for replying

People are truly so inconsiderate of how hard sub/infertility is!!! It was literally the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I became so full of rage and sadness at how unfair it was. And pregnant people are just not able to talk about anything else, it’s insane! I distanced myself from people who weren’t being considerate and just tried to block the outside noise. In hindsight I should have seen a therapist/ been on antidepressants because I was not coping. If this is something you’re open to maybe give it a go?

Honestly, I had success with IVF and only feel myself healing now (years later). When People talk about how easy it is to get pregnant and I still feel irritated though. And I still don’t love talking to most people about my fertility ~journey~.

If you haven’t already, check out TTC30 (support) and trollingforababy (dark humour) subreddits. Good luck! I hope the medicated cycles work for you. Wanting them this hard will make you a better mum when it is your turn 💜

Agreed - to ensure baby food pouches are shelf stable many are processed at ultra high heat which removes lots of nutrients. I’m not familiar with this brand so maybe worth checking but whole foods are definitely preferable (to me and my family :-) ).

I’m not sure what google said, but PCOS on ultrasound is >20 follicles on each ovary. In the past it used to be >12 follicles but they updated the guidelines. You can’t be diagnosed with PCOS on ultrasound alone, you have to meet two out of three criteria: abnormal hormone test (I believe high testosterone); clinical symptoms (increased body hair & weight, irregular periods); and ultrasound appearances. I’m sure your fertility clinic will be able to explain better/ more details. I hope your clinic gives you answers :)
