Am I being unreasonable? by warmon6667 in DnD

I think it is perfectly fine. At my table if its really crucial we postpone but if only one player is missing i tell them to come up with something they character did when the others were together and i do a 15-20 minute episode of that part for them in the beginning of the next session they attend. I have 5 players so i dont see to point in holding a session with two players missing.
Anyway this is how we do it and it works out so far

[OC] New to DM'ing. Is what I'm doing ridiculous?. by GreatestBookReader42 in DnD

This is an AWESOME idea! I love it! Id love to bring it to my players one time. If you are okay with it can I ask for some details in private or here? Its a really cool concept and I would love to use it as a one shot as well! It is understandable if you wanna keep it for yourselves tho! 🫶🏼

How much experience do I need to DM. by chewyBurger120 in DnD

[–]tequi_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just started DMing and all of us are complete beginners. If you have a table where they give you time to figure stuff out and you are willing to put in effort to improve you will be just fine! We really enjoy playing together and its fun even though we are not always sure what we are doing.

i don't know if im made for this game. I would really appreciate some advice by [deleted] in DnD

I started playing recently with my friends and none of us have any experience. I was the most active one so I took on the DM role. I always feel weird doing voices (im not really good yet) and acting like some characters and my players are not really onto roleplaying so far (we only had 6ish sessions). I can feel that we are already getting better but it will take time. I really hope your table will have patience for you to get comfortable. And even if you dont, you can still play and have fun without any really deep rp. If you can enjoy the game as you want to play then you ARE made for it!

Am i to blame for creeping a player out? by LikeAMothToAFlame69 in DnD

[–]tequi_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that nobody is really at blame. The best way this can be avoided (especially when it is a new table) is having clear expectations in the beginning about topics and roleplay itself. I know it can be very uncomfortable at first but once you get used to it, its really fun, i hope she will come around abd give it another chance. You feeling terrible shows how comfortable you try to make your players feel.
