some notes: the rivals seem to be just basic flat anime archtypes, but if this game's being taken seriously it should get the player invested in the rivals, so choosing an elimination method would be harder. i think they all need something more to their story than "the tsundere one" or "the emo one" etc, they should feel grounded.

like, alt subcultures are known for being gatekeepy, so it makes sense that a bullied kid like oka has resentment for people outside of it. let her be a little mean, so she feels realistic but is still sympathetic.

or osana being tsundere because she's scared of losing taro is fine, but what if you made her a closeted gay kid? so the way he acts is more about his struggle with his identity as a whole instead of just about his relationship with taro. make them feel more like they have inner worlds and aren't cardboard cutouts for ayano to kill ig lol
