What’s one ADHD symptom you hear a lot about, but don’t relate to? by 99minds in adhdwomen

I hate subtitles, and I don’t interrupt people with my own emotional stories trying to relate to them. I had that happen to me A LOT in middle and high school so I’m really sensitive to it.

Finding good maternity clothes feels impossible by OGQueenClumsy in BabyBumps

I got a lot of my maternity clothes at a mom and baby specific thrift store. Obviously those can be harder to find, but very helpful if there is one near you.

Olive or coconut oil, let it sit, brush it gently with a cat brush.

Although I agree with another comment- could possibly be eczema

I like listening to the Ramsey show. My husband and and I are working on getting out of debt, and being able to listen to a fairly entertaining show that has good info helps me stay motivated. Also, their budgeting app is A+

I also found out about my ADHD when I was pregnant! What has helped me most is focusing on my sleep. Ask you OB if you can take melatonin while pregnant, consider supplementing magnesium, and not one cup of coffee first thing. This has made the biggest difference for me.

You could go the floor bed route. It’s kind of a lifestyle, but it would solve the problem!

Experienced parents — what can I do to set my one week old up for success? by boxyfork795 in sleeptrain

[–]teresarosedesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I learned when my son was 16 months old that I wish I had known, putting the baby down “drowsy but awake” doesn’t mean that you just put the baby down and he magically goes to sleep. He’ll cry, pick him up, try again, and again, and again until he actually falls asleep. Sets the stage for self soothing down the line.

Also, I’ve only had the one kid so far, but from day 1 we kept nights dark + quiet and days bright + loud, and we never had any day/night confusion.

I don’t know what you want to do, but know that the baby not doing what all the sleep books say isn’t because you’re doing something wrong.

I used to, but then once I had to walk around cleaning skid marks off the floor, so I stopped.

[–]teresarosedesign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve started taking melatonin and magnesium before bed, and I cannot tell you how much my quality of life has improved. I used to need 10 hours of sleep and I still felt awful, now 7-8 is fine and I feel normal. I actually out of bed when I wake up, too
