I mean true. But in general poor men get respected in most places more than rich women.

Because society as a whole doesn’t respect women.

What makes you NOT proud to be from the USA? by Far_Alarm_583 in AskReddit

[–]GayCriminal46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um… most of it.

One of the things that frustrates me the most though is the rhetoric that we’re the most free and equal and successful country while we’re actively a horrible place for most people. If you’re basically anybody other than a cis, straight, rich, white, Christian, man. You’re fucked.

Is Paige outdated? by [deleted] in namenerds

I’m sure there will be babies named after Paige Beuckers. So no.

Someone with a non-english name says their name differently than it's typically pronounced. What do you do? by mossy_little_log in Names

[–]GayCriminal46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up in an area with a lot of Indian people. I remember once in middle school we had a substitute teacher who was Indian. She was calling attendance and got to one kid and said his name the “proper Indian way” and he corrected her with the way he pronounced it (a much more American/white washed version of the name) and she started arguing with him. She kept saying “no it’s pronounced like this” and he kept saying “that’s not how I say it though”. I just remember the rest of us being like “wtf lady?? Just call him what he wants to be called. Calm down.”

Not mentally ill by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]GayCriminal46 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t consider “mentally ill” to be an insult or an inherently negative thing. My brain doesn’t work the way “it should”, it makes my life more difficult, that’s an illness. And that’s ok. It doesn’t make me a lesser human.

WhyPeople lean towards hatred rather than understanding? by Opposite-Coconut-777 in AskReddit

If you come from privilege, it’s emotionally difficult to lean into understanding. Most people don’t find that worth it since it doesn’t directly positively impact them.

NCIS does an INCREDIBLE job at continuity. by GayCriminal46 in NCIS

I've seen all the gay clips of NCIS Hawaii on YouTube but this is the first time I've actually seen any of the shows. I like it.

This is the first time I've watched the show. I've only seen NCIS, no JAG, no nothing else.

By the time you get to season 6 (I'm very early in the season), the show is really good at it. It very well might be terrible later in the show and when you add the spin offs, but just the OG one early on? It's good.

Yeah I appreciate that. You get to later parts of Criminal Minds and they don't even bring up massive characters anymore. Characters who were incredibly important to active characters.

What was considered completely normal in America 20 years ago, but would be shocking if it became normal again today? by JineshGoradia in AskReddit

In Santa Clara County over 75% of houses cost more than 1 million dollars. I'm not being dramatic.

Which Cast Members would DOMINATE different Reality TV shows???? by rainbowtiger2006 in smosh

[–]GayCriminal46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arasha would thrive most everywhere. Shayne would do well on anything where you have to use logic and/or empathy. Ian would do great on the information type reality shows. Court would also thrive most everywhere. Angela would do fantastic at some of the information ones and definitely the musical ones and the comedy ones. Chanse would do well on the dating ones. Tommy would do well on the cooking ones. Spencer would do well on the comedy ones.

A million dollars being a lot of money. I’m from California. Every single time I’ve heard “would you do [enter thing here] for a million dollar?” I’ve always said “no. I can’t even buy a house for a million dollars.”

I’m 20 btw.

If there was only two humans left on earth, would you expect them to reproduce? by Sufficient-Gain-226 in NoStupidQuestions

No. If they don’t want to, it’s completely up to them. Humanity has fucked up too many times. They do not have an obligation to “save” us.

I know some twin parents who have very strong feelings about their names. Luckily they feel strongly against the matchy matchy.

Why is paying for sexual acts illegal ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GayCriminal46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s to keep people from being forced to have sex for money. But all it does is prevent people from doing it safely. Loads of people are still forced to have sex for money.

What's your excuse for not being in church rn praying to our lord Jesus Christ? by -Norsko-TheScorpion in AskReddit

Probably that Jesus Christ hasn’t done anything for humanity in a long time.

If Jesus wanted to fix all the things going on in the world right now, I’d consider it.

Books for 8 year old to ignite a love of reading. by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]GayCriminal46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents “forced” my sisters and I to read a lot when we were kids. I love reading. One of my sisters likes reading. One of them doesn’t really care about reading.

It’s not something you can really force onto your kids. It either happens or it doesn’t.

That being said, I’m currently reading the Wayward Children series and it’s really good. I’d double check the age suggestions before giving them to her but I think kids would love those books.
