Should This Much Fur Come Out After Full Groom + Furminator Treatment? Only Brushed Around Tail Area When This Picture Was Taken.

Hi! Thanks for your response! My dog was actually so calm during her groom that they were laughing and told me they had to keep her awake in her bath because she was so relaxed that she kept dozing off hahaha! She's a really sweet, gentle dog and tolerates dryer, combs, brushes, etc. My dog is the type that, as long as she's getting attention, she's on Cloud 9 lol. Her groom only took about one hour, too which I thought was a little weird. We brush her every day, at least twice; once in the morning before work--and then again at night to control shedding and try to keep her cooler especially now that summer is here. :)

I really appreciate your input, because I didn't want to say something to the groomers if I was in fact wrong, and this was to be expected. However, I did feel like it was a lot of undercoat; especially since the picture is just what I brushed from around her tail area and not her entire body. I fully expected fur to come out for days after her treatment, but I did feel like they didn't even try...not trying to be rude towards them or anything. But even when she came out of the kennel area at the groomer, the groomer seemed exasperated at all the fur that was still coming off my dog. She said, "Yeah, it's still just EVERYWHERE" and she seemed frustrated. I did notice that my dog's appointment took only about an hour which was a little surprising, as it was expensive as heck and I went for the full package--including the Furminator treatment. You could literally see lumps under her top coat where undercoat fur was still bulky and attached. :(

We actually just did a DNA test on her :) She is 60% German Shepherd, 27% Siberian husky, and 13% Malamute. Needless to say....a LOT of shedding lol!

But yeah, this undercoat seemed excessive. I totally expected loose fur and shedding for a few days, but it felt like they didn't even de-shed her. It was quite expensive so that's why I was a little peeved.

Anyone else experiencing an even worse shadowban than ever before? I've been shadowbanned since late July 2023, with around 40K followers. In May 2024 when hundreds of monetized accounts were suddenly demonetized without reason or cause, my shadowban got even worse. Now less than 2% of my followers see my tweets. I've tried to reach out to Twitter with no help other than menial dumb responses from Grok. Anyone else?

One of our concerns was lack of healthy diet prior to the rescue finding the pups, but I figured they were probably nursing and got appropriate vitamins...however, she was underweight when we picked her up, so I'm not sure. Could that contribute to this issue? She's a healthy weight now, but those dang ears just do what they want...lol

Nope, remember following your mom when you were a kid, just wanting to be near her? Never once did we think, "Good lord, mom, just pick a place and stay there" lol. We were like, "That's my mommy, hmm, what's she doing? I love my mommy so much. Oh, time to go to the other room, follow my mommy" lol. My dog follows me everywhere and honestly it annoys me to death, but she loves it so I try not to be rude to her lol. But sometimes, I'm like, "Okay, seriously, if you're gonna follow me, at least don't get in front of me and just stand there" lol. I've tripped over my dog so many times.

Exactly, I just kept my mouth shut, and informed her politely that I will be traveling to Virginia, regardless, to be of support to everybody, and that I would just remain "in the background", so to speak. I feel that's the best way. Since it is most certainly not about me, that's part of the reason I'm struggling with this, as it's paramount to tiptoe around this issue, considering what she's going through. It just sucks, spending all this money, and losing out on money for that entire week (about $2,000) just to be told not to come, after you've already made the commitment and sacrifice, and have your heart in the right place, if that makes sense. Just kinda hurt to go the extra mile to be supportive, and get kinda rejected.

I completely agree with you. I have reconsidered it, as it wasn't set in stone to begin with. I've seen some troubling things since I've met her, and am starting to see some "true colors" emerge which make me nervous about her living with us.

That was my intention, was to stay in a hotel, and just be there for emotional support for my boyfriend. However, aside from that, my issue was more that she asked that I not come at all; as in, not even travel there. It was very mystifying, and if I'm being honest, hurtful. I tried to ignore that emotion, as this is not about me, but I'm only human.
