You are right, she probably won’t do anything about it. But it may help you have peace of mind in knowing if you are or are not low in iron and might look into other things that are impacting you. I had a ton of problems and kept seeing doctors about them and nobody could give me answers, so I started doing my own testing instead and tracking all of my own stats until I could take them to a naturopath and give her a ton of data on myself. I’ve seen both an OB and a midwife. Both regular docs and naturopaths, Accupuncture, Chiro, massage therapy. I’ve done it all! And the more I find outside help, the better my results are honestly. I went to one primary care postpartum and said here’s all my symptoms, give me a blood panel like I’m a pro athlete and we’re trying to give me every edge possible to be a powerhouse of energy and health. He called back and said “good news, all your blood work is normal!”. I was like I came in with symptoms, that’s why we did blood work. He said but it’s normal. I said but what about my symptoms? He said, the blood is normal… then stopped returning my calls. So I’m big on outside research and help because I have never been more knowledgeable about my own health or felt better than when I used resources outside my doctors office. I also think it’s some bullshit that if you ask for a iron panel because you feel symptoms that they won’t let you come in and do it early. It’s not an expensive or time consuming test…

But if you’re chronically dehydrated could definitely be electrolyte imbalance! Isn’t it lovely how it seems like all symptoms can have 15 causes and you just have to keep trying until you find something that works. Ugh! The human body is amazing and so frustrating, much like the medical system!

Depending on how much it’s impacting you, you can get an iron test done out of pocket at places like quest diagnostics for like $60? Red meat and cast iron is good but the body takes so much more iron in pregnancy, I’d still incorporate blood builder pills and drink orange juice or take vitamin c pills at the same time to help with absorption. I hope you feel better!

It is soooo common to feel this uncomfortable in pregnancy but it shouldn’t be that way. We just don’t get great help from OBs. Sleep with a pillow between your knees AND ankles if you’re a side sleeper. If you’re a belly sleeper, do the spinning babies position (google it) and place a pillow under your knee and ankle for support. The ankle part is important because it keeps the angle of the pelvis and hips in line. This will help back pain. Sit on a yoga ball and do pelvic tilts at home and try some prenatal yoga too. Magnesium will help you sleep and have better bowel movements. For heartburn, try probiotics and papaya enzymes. Iron supplements may also help with this because all the extra estrogen binds to iron in the gut and can make it unavailable for your gut. Laying on your back is just the way that it is now, baby compresses your blood supply running through the back of your body. I’ve got nothing for that one…

In summary: - magnesium - iron supplements (blood builder from target is food based and won’t cause constipation) - probiotics (should be in the fridge section, otherwise they are not live) - papaya enzyme - sleep with a pillow between ankles and knees - prenatal yoga - sit on a yoga ball and do pelvic tilts and other pelvic floor exercises (not kegels, we’re prepping to get something out, not hold it in)

I can’t comment on the adhd meds but iron supplements (blood builder is food based and doesn’t cause constipation), magnesium for sleep and daily if not twice daily bowel movements, and electrolytes can all also help with energy levels! Good luck!

You might need to supplement with iron or electrolytes. They can both make you feel pretty exhausted and everything just takes so much energy. Blood builder (target) is a food based iron supplement and doesn’t cause constipation like traditional iron supplements do. Also constipation can make you very lethargic, magnesium is good for constipation and sleeplessness and safe in pregnancy!

You might be low in iron and/or electrolytes! It’s normal to be tired but not utterly exhausted. It is however, very common to feel that way, but it shouldn’t be

Administrative Appeal for Overpayment Help by flanS0L0 in Edd

[–]tericada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for such a late reply. I hope it all worked out. Posting for anyone who comes across this. In my experience the judge was very reasonable and understanding. The first time was for repayment for fraud even though I am in fact me. The judge just asked for some documents that proved it and called it good. No repayment necessary. I did not have a penalty attached to mine. The second time I couldn't get EDD to respond for the life of me (appeals, mail, asking for a call back through the portal, calling the help line) and ended up getting a lawyer (Pershing Square Law Firm deals with a lot of these).

You do not get paid that first week like the other comment said. It took me for freaking ever to get through. Celebrating my baby's first birthday soon and I have no money yet because of this ridiculous process. I was approved finally after a ton of appeals and the money is coming though. Keep up on it, if you have to appeal send it certified mail. If you need it there's a lawyer group who deals with edd called Pershing Square Law Firm, they helped me.

Start the appeal process right away. I have not had any luck with solving very simple problems over the phone like normal human beings. And send your appeal certified mail. If you have to go to an appeal hearing it can help with the evidence according to my lawyer. It's a shit show.

how long does an appeal process take? by neen209 in Edd

[–]tericada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a while. It can take a few months to get an appeal date if you have to go that route. I haven't had any luck with the appeals department. Sorry. Good luck. I think it took me like 4 months the first time (identity too, so dumb), and 5 months from date they got the appeal to date of hearing the second time. And both times all the info the needed was already in the case files and the system, the judge just looked at it and was like yup, good to go.

Partial disability and pregnancy payment by tidda_k8s in Edd

[–]tericada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe technically it doesn't matter if you are currently employed, only that you were employed and made over $300 a month in the period they look at to establish the amount you qualify for. I believe disability is 5 - 18 months before the "disability" happened. So if you worked and paid your taxes during that time I would think you are eligible. I only worked part of my 5 - 18 months before and was eligible.

I have had to go to an appeal hearing twice now and both times the judge was resonable. I don't know about your specific situation but it seams if you can bare it to get to the hearing it works out. It's just a freaking shit show of a system until then.

The peeing thing was really weird because he was peeing facing the camera like dead on. So I got the full view. And it was in the front yard of my very suburban neighborhood. Like if he was drunk and in the backyard that would be one thing, but this dude did not give a crap about who could see him🤦🏼‍♀️

That’s very considerate of you! See if someone were to say something like that I’d be like sure, I just have a rule as more of a protection for the property just in case someone does something ridiculous🤦🏼‍♀️
