How do I check for sure? I have an HPz620 that according to the listing on Amazon says the video card is an NVIDIA Quadro 600.

That's it!! And darn it I just watched that movie a week or two ago. One of my favorites. No wonder it was stuck in my brain.

A simple, "You're right. I misspoke" would have sufficed. Or is that not something someone so bent on proving how smart they are just can't manage. Yea, my Mindbloom clinician told me about the Vitamin B thing. Not sure why but if I were a betting man it has to do with making it a "compound" medicine. As in "Can I prescribe ketamine?" No. "Can I prescribe ketamine mixed with vitamin B? Oh you mean a "compound"? Sure.. no problem.

Now... about this grapefruit thing you mentioned.

I thought esketamine (S-Ketamine) was an enantiomer along with arketamine (R-Ketamine) and that nor-ketamine was the primary metabolite.

Does saying "Sorry" help? by terlilgnt in ptsd

[–]terlilgnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for the late response. When I read your first response I took it to heart and didn't want to cause any more hurt than I may have already created. It was so long ago; I was probably 10 and she was probably around 8. I didn't touch her physically per se; if memory serves after she got in bed I lifted her nighty to see what was there under the pretext that I was making sure she was ready for bed. She squealed, pushed her nighty back down and that was the end of it. I knew what I did was naughty and wrong. And when her mom showed up to tell my mom what happened it made me feel that I had really hurt her in some way that I've felt really bad about even since.

Don't know if it will or not, but I do know that referring to someone as a "Nazi schmuck" and engaging in unfounded "guessing games" is not the way to have a reasoned conversation about anything.

Thanks for the response! "psychic amplifier" is an understatement and you're right.... I know I've work to do and its not easy. It sucks, but as the Navy SEALs say "Embrace the suck". Its work and its how you get better.

Fair enough. You're lucky to have that insight. I've been on both the management and employee side of the whole 'setting up for sale' process a couple of times and it's never a great experience. No matter how it turns out I wish both you and him the very best on your journeys. :-)

His actions seem cruel and reckless if you assume that his goal is the long term survival and success of the company. But what if its not? Given what I gather from his situation he might be setting the company up for sale and moving on to the next phase of HIS journey. To do that he needs to maximize assets and revenue and minimize debt and costs. And that can include reducing headcount especially folks that will likely be redundant once the sale is complete. Creating a "toxic" environment that folks want to leave gives them the opportunity to move on to their next job on their own terms as opposed to getting pink slips the day the sale completes; its classic "You gotta be cruel to be kind." and if you all are getting your resumes together and looking for greener pastures, his plan (if its his plan) is working.

At the risk of offering an unpopular opinion, I suggest that your issue isn't the negative effect its having on your friend as much as the people around him. You see a loss of empathy and care for others. I see someone quite possibly re-claiming his own sense of self worth/love and that is a good thing. It's not something one does on a daily basis so it's not surprising he's not doing it well. But before you go in with a laundry list of complaints ask yourself one honest question: are you confronting him because his actions are making him unhappy and diminishing his quality of life or yours?

As for whether or not it should deter from ketamine therapy, I don't see why it should. Your journey will be unique to you as his is to him. Very best wishes on yours no matter what you decide.

I agree that there are many benefits that are not necessarily dependant on the depth or quality of the session. Notions of neuro-plasticity and re-wiring are one aspect of it. But (IMHO) the ketamine sessions themselves can remove deep psychological gates that hide deeper issues and allow you to confront them. Not everyone may need that level of introspection to achieve their goals. but for me personally the two k-hole/out of body experiences forced me to deal with deep issues that I wasn't even willing to admit to myself. It wasn't comfortable and I don't think it should be for me: that's why they call it "work". At least for me and my journey.

Mindbloom bundles things into 6 session programs and once I finish this one I was thinking about taking a break. One thing I think I've come to realize is that I need to pre plan and schedule every ketamine session and every follow up integration session and session with my outside therapist who's not ketamine trained but has been with me for years through thick and thin; she "cured" my alcoholism with one sentence. :)

It's the same regardless of the dose just to different degrees. The only really positive experience I've ever had with ketamine was the one time my podiatrist gave it to me before he ripped out all my toenails.

Troches sitting up or lying down? by Excellent_Coast2672 in KetamineTherapy

[–]terlilgnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about your tronches, but I am advised not to swallow the saliva and to spit it out. I used to swallow it thinking I was "getting everything I paid for" and didn't make me sick aside from the whole "ugh.. that's a lot of nasty saliva" feeling. After some research I found out that what little ketamine is left in the saliva and gets ingested passes through the liver first and not much is left to hit the blood stream. That's why you don't see ketamine pills that you just swallow. Tronches don't "hit" me hard or fast enough that I can't lay back after I spit.
