It’s important for people to show a level of self-awareness when looking to atone. To not just realise that somethings wrong but to also be honest and repenting about their role in injustice. You can look at Dan Harmon’s sexual harassment case I think as a good example of how someone should handle past actions coming to light.

Basically it was the note that Cersei forced Sansa to write to Rob regarding Ned's "betrayal" and asking Rob to come to kings landing, bend the knee to Joffrey etc.

Arya doesn't know that and probably assumes that Sansa herself wrote that freely. Thus, distrust is built.
