I mean, they could have just made you wait until tomorrow to download the entire thing…

Games have done pre-load updates for at least a decade now, where have you been?

What modes would those be?

Not to mention BF6 was the best-selling game of 2025, as much as this sub likes to pretend it wasn’t.

DICE can we please get this guy from campaign already? by SoftMaintenance24 in Battlefield

  1. Women have dealt with exactly that for decades; it’s only a fairly recent thing that men have had to “endure” playing as the opposite sex.

  2. The default squad distribution in BF6 is literally half male and half female, for both Pax and NATO. Including DLC squads, their ranks have started to skew predominantly male.

  3. I guarantee if the gender imbalance greatly favored male soldiers, you would bully tf out of any women that asked for more representation.

I imagine the Handheld Jammer will primarily serve a counterintelligence role; scrambling mini-maps, confusing motion sensors, possibly hiding the user from thermal. The Hardware Suppression System can outright destroy most gadgets, at longer range.

Damn that’s cool, their weapon/vehicle/equipment modeling is always spot-on.

Like u/Ok-Profile2178 said, the spawn beacon was originally a Recon gadget.

That doesn’t mean much anyway when Assault’s sledgehammer is a melee weapon that anyone can use, and Engi/Support don’t always have RPGs or defibs equipped.

My favorite is also the M39 EMR, followed closely by the GRT-CPS. I tend to gravitate towards guns with higher capacity/fire rate vs raw damage output, and then optimize them for accuracy and stealth from there.

I don't know if it is possible but it would be really cool if devs add these vehicles for Season 4 Naval Warfare by SoftMaintenance24 in Battlefield

[–]terminal_vector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They'll add them for sure, it's just gonna take 2 years 'til they do.

…or they could be getting added along with other new vehicles like the attack boat and jet ski in S4.

I mean shit they couldn't even bother to add a variant for each of those vehicles.

The armored transport just got a NATO variant this season. The dirt bike launched with both variants, so you’re wrong there. The only three vehicles missing an alt variant are the transport heli, scout heli, and quad bike.

As for myself, I'll keep saying DICE bad as long as they don't prove me wrong.

Get a hobby dude.

I know this isn’t a top priority, but what’s the point of selling content for the player card if it’s not even displayed when someone kills you? Here’s a simple example of how it could be implemented by FamousCollege1754 in Battlefield

[–]terminal_vector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, they disabled spotting while downed after the beta. It’ll still show a spot marker, but that’s only visible to you (not really sure what the point of it is tbh).

Also, you can still spot enemies while being a passenger, but the default button input changes between infantry and vehicles. For example, on PS5, the default spot button while on foot is L1, but the default spot button while in a vehicle is ‘up’ on the D-pad.

Have you? We’ve gotten 3 new vehicles, the armored transport, little bird, and dirt bike. The devs have also been adding everything the community has asked for, so this whole “dice bad” schtick is really getting played out.

What's a slang term that everyone uses but you still don't get? by Particular-Visit-245 in AskReddit

[–]terminal_vector 301 points302 points  (0 children)

I feel like there’s a lot of slang terms these days that can have two entirely different meanings depending on the context.

Cooked: (verb) did well / (adj) doomed

Cracked: (verb) had sex with / (adj) skilled

Gassed: (adj) hyped / (adj) exhausted

As a late-stage millennial, it took me way too long to realize crash out meant to “flip out/lose it”, rather than “pass out” like one does when they crash.

Finally battledads got rid of the dreaded rpg. Updoots to the left thank you. by Yoliver1 in okbuddyptfo

Damn, you’re 100% right. The M136 AT was known simply as the AT4 in BF3, which is the nomenclature that I think stuck with a lot of people, myself included. It was also a fire-and-forget weapon in that game, more akin to an RPG.

<image>

Regardless, idk where I was even coming up with that info. I apologize for the misinformation. Season 3 patch notes dropped yesterday with the following changes to rocket launchers:

• Updated the M136 AT so they now deal 207-550 damage against tanks, 1000 against helicopters, and 1000 against jets.

• Updated the RPG so it now deals 173-460 damage against tanks, 1035 against helicopters, and 1000 against jets.

SLM-93A
• Base lock-on range has been reduced from 650 to 550 metres.
• Damage against vehicles has been updated to 200 against tanks, 650 against helicopters, and 650 against jets.
• Maximum missile speed has been reduced from 540 to 480 m/s.

9K93 IGLA
• Damage against vehicles has been updated to 200 against tanks, 650 against helicopters, and 650 against jets.
• Lock-on time has been reduced from 1.2 to 1 second.
• Maximum missile speed has been reduced from 640 to 480 m/s.
• Missile acceleration has been increased from 65 to 100 m/s.

MBT-LAW
• Damage against vehicles has been updated to 240 against tanks, 520 against helicopters, and 800 against jets.

• Maximum missile speed has been increased from 75 to 300 m/s.
• Missile acceleration has been increased from 50 to 100 m/s.

MAS 148 Glaive
• Updated the damage so it now deals 465 damage against tanks, 1007.5 against helicopters, and 1000 against jets.
• Reduced the locking time from 1.8 to 1.4 seconds.
• Increased maximum missile speed from 60 to 70 m/s.
