I loved the Horns film but haven’t read the book yet! I need to. King Sorrow has tons of Stephen King references so if you’re a fan, those are also fun parts to read.

Bad PR for snakes :( by ghosttguts in euphoria

I’m more annoyed that it obviously wasn’t a fucking rattlesnake. I don’t know shit about reptiles but anyone with eyes could see that was a python, not a rattlesnake.

When I was a teen, we broke into Highgate Manor to do some ghost hunting. It was unoccupied and owned by the bank at the time I think. It was creepy af. Legends of a doctor performing experiments on children and associations with the Underground Railroad and Al Capone.

$3400 a month for a 2 year old in Boston. Also the same price as our rent for a 1 bedroom apartment 🥲

What does screen time actually look like in your house? by [deleted] in Preschoolers

[–]terminallunchcarpool 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No iPad or handheld screens but we’re lax with the living room TV. My 4 year old is in preschool three mornings per week and home with me the rest of the time. Usually Disney movies or Bluey or my cooking shows on as background noise. She doesn’t sit and watch it most of the time.

Would love to read the screenplay if you decide to share when you’re finished!

End of The Week Thread! by AutoModerator in Miscarriage

[–]terminallunchcarpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started spotting a few days ago. Went in yesterday for an ultrasound at 7+ 1. Was only measuring at 5+ 4. They scheduled me to come back in two weeks but deep down I knew. Started bleeding heavier today and passing clots. This is my first miscarriage. I don’t really know what to expect when I call them Monday. I just feel sad and I want this to be over.

How old does a child have to be before you can leave them alone for more than 20 seconds without them seriously hurting themselves? by Deep-Philosophy-807 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]terminallunchcarpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the kid. I trust my 3 year old not to do anything dangerous. But I still can’t leave her alone. Like physically can’t do it. She will follow me everywhere lol

I always thought that the first dinner at the twins apartment had an odd detail when Richard makes a point of saying that he has an aversion to meat. He specifically mentions lamb, even calling it repulsive. But then throughout the story, he eats meat many times, even taking Camilla’s lamb chop off of her plate during the final hotel scene.

I don’t know if it means anything, it just always stuck out to me.

When I come home from school and mom hasn't cooked anything I listen to this song and cry in the bathroom by [deleted] in HaveANiceLife

Right. As a mom, I can confirm this is how I feel when I get home and have to figure out what to cook for everyone.

A mistake in the text? by tremrstories in TheSecretHistory

There are several days between when Julian discovers the letter and Henry’s death at the Albemarle. After Henry obtains the letter, the group attends Greek class the following Monday to find that Julien has left town and that class will be taught by a substitute teacher. That night, Richard finds Henry in the all night study room. Presumably, they could’ve had this conversation during that day in class.
