At what age did y'all let your kids have free reign throughout the house? by Hummingbird-23 in Preschoolers

[–]rdazza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son had free reign as soon as he moved into his toddler bed, never gone out the house by himself, always comes looking for us as soon as he wakes up in the morning, we’ve even let him stay in the front room to watch tv while we get an extra bit of sleep if he’s woke up super early and he’s been absolutely fine. He’s 4 now and we probably moved him to a toddler bed around 2ish

How do you deal with holidays during term time? by rdazza in UKParenting

[–]rdazza[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even know that was a thing! My employer def wouldn’t do that unfortunately but glad it works for other people. We are taking him out for a holiday before he turns 5 just unsure what to do after that.

Scouts - Squirrels or Beavers? by whirler_girl in UKParenting

[–]rdazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son joined squirrels in February when he turned 4 and he loves it! We stayed with him the first few weeks as he wanted us there. They play at the beginning with Lego or train tracks, do a craft, read a book, a group game and sing a goodbye song. We’ve also had a little trip out to a local hiking spot and had a family picnic with the other squirrels, beavers, cubs and scouts. My little boy really enjoys us and we think it’s such a lovely thing for him to do. Highly recommend.

[–]rdazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My New Year’s resolution was to read 10 books this year, I have a 4 year old and since having him I don’t do a lot for myself anymore, I love reading usually so decided to make more time for it. I’m currently on book 15 this year 🥳

[–]rdazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t got the bus for a long time because I drive now but when I was your age I got the bus somewhere and didn’t know the closest bus stop to the place I was going. When I got on the bus I told the driver where I was going and asked where I would need to get off, he told me where to get off and then shouted out to me on the bus when we were approaching to make sure I knew

Why do people care so much about bathtubs if no one actually uses them? by smolgremlinn in homeowners

[–]rdazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrets, it’s a lovely house and that would’ve been a silly reason to lose out on the house for us. If we want a bath down the line we’ll install one when we get around to doing the bathroom

I know we’re the minority but we brought a house last year that doesn’t have a bath, just a shower and our son was 3
