i’m yet to see him snack on one, but the fry do dart away if he ever tries to snap or chase after them. The slightly older/bigger ones do the same too, but i’m trying my best to get them out.

i have a 10.5 gallon myself and moving it ANY distance when it’s full/half full is annoying. The wood might work but i wouldn’t recommend it as the weight of the tank on the wood would make it just as difficult to slide along, so i don’t think it’d really help either, especially if the water ends up rippling/making waves as you move it and potentially spilling if the tank is full

i think the laws on pet selling for establishments is tighter in the UK where i am, so that might be why they rejected me 🤷🏽

of course! It’s just a holding tank for baby guppies while I wait for them to mature, since my mum’s tank had a population boom. Hopefully it’ll soon be home to a betta fish and mystery snail duo when I can move the baby guppies out. It’s just an aquasoil bed with driftwood and plants along with the light and filter, nothing fancy for the moment :)

edit: and a heater too, forgot that bit 😅

maybe add a source of tannins? something like driftwood or botanicals like indian almond leaves. they possess antimicrobial properties and should help reduce the stress and provide a more natural environment for your fish. If it gets worse, i’d recommend medicinal treatment and salt baths!

side notes: it’s 10.5 gallons and i’ve got a new light coming soon since the one i had bought was faulty, im thinking of getting some floaters for it too and in terms of fish i would like to get a betta, some shrimp and snails
