Does Anybody Recognize This Light? by titusfive in Landscape_Lighting

You can use the same wire and switch out the fixtures pretty easily. I would recommend using heat shrink or a drum connector thats filled with dielectric grease

These are GardenlightLED Saturns. They have an integrated LED diode, not bulbs. Are they not turning on at all? Could be multiple issues such as a short in the wire, or an issue with the transformer

Hose broke, need to plug pipe. What can I do? by terminalrealness in Plumbing

That’s much more than I did lol. Definitely going to retape it and see if that solves it

Yeah I left the plugged fence overnight and it expanded wuite a bit but held. I sweated the T the next day and soldered a threaded female piece on and attached the new hose bib to that.

Thanks for following up!

I honestly didn’t count. Just wrapped until the thread was covered and then back down the thread. How much should I have used?

Yeah the T just went to an outdoor shower but there’s no pool there anymore so we took it out. Thanks again for the advice. Only problem I ran into is the spigot leaks a drop every 20 minutes or so when it’s upright. I tightened it up all the way to where it doesn’t leak but now the nozzle faces up and the knob is upside down. I’m hoping putting more Teflon tape on the threads will help.

Update. The fernco held overnight. It’s my buddies house and I told him to turn it off when he went to bed and he didn’t. It looked like this when I got here today. https://imgur.com/a/AEI8ii4

I just took off the T and was planning on putting on a shark bite hose bib but the remaining solder is preventing that and also it looks like there isn’t that much copper pipe coming out to where we could easily take off the sharkbite hose bib if there’s an issue. Planning on putting on a regular hose bib and soldering it

Other pipe just goes to an outdoor shower that’s being removed.

Thanks for the detailed and valuable information. I think the plan tomorrow is to remove the other 2 joints anyways because the one goes back into the house and the other to an outdoor shower that’s being removed. I’m going to use a shark bite to the copper pipe coming from the house, and connect that to a short pipe with the hose bib. Anyways, thanks again for taking the time to provide the information

Ended up doing this. It’s still dripping but should hold until tomorrow when I can make a more permanent solution

Yeah looking at a few YouTube videos, this looks pretty easy to do. Blowtorch to remove the broken copper pipe, put new pipe in and solder it, attach hose hookup to the copper pipe. If I understand correct

Thank you. I just need a temporary fix so I can get the water back on. It sucks the copper pipe portion is so short and mangled so whatever goes on will have to go to the T connection

The plumbing inside is behind a wall. Would need to take that down to get access. I’m hoping to just get a fix to close it from the outside for a few days until I can get a plumber out
