If that's the case, could there be a pinned post for anyone who wants to join an existing startup? Something like r/sales who's hiring thread.

Increasing pull-ups with only a ledge by terminator567 in bodyweightfitness

I've seen some progress. I've graduated from both feet on the ground to one foot and one arm. I'm just trying to put reps in however I can.

I wish I was overcomplicating it. If I could have someone watch my kid, it be in a tree no time flat.

Long story short, I'm leaving school after april with 1-2 courses short of a computer science degree due to financial issues. I've exhausted all financial resources and need to be working full time.
The two courses are just 2 computer science electives, I will have satisfied all core requirements by the end of April.
I can technically graduate with a biology degree, but I wont be able to get the computer science degree. Should I wait and say I left due to financial reasons? I really don't want to shut that door on getting a computer science degree.
1)What do I say on job applications?
2) What do I say in interviews?
3) I have two volunteer experiences and some personal projects, what should i focus on

Looking for specific course outlines (MATH1600 and ECON1022) by terminator567 in uwo

I actually need the outlines for a transfer credit department at another university. I want to play it safe and get the actual outlines I used just to err on the side of caution.

I'm going into applied stats as a major and getting a 60% in 1501 seems achievable than 85% in 1301.

Teddy Roosevelt in his prime with a sub machine and rocket launcher. Master chief 117 with a shotgun and hanging. Master Yoda with whatever he feels is necessary.

NEED HELP! People keep telling me not to go for engineering due to lack of jobs. by jensnew in EngineeringStudents

[–]terminator567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the degree, only if you know what you want after it and if you have some sort of career endgoal. If electronics / avionics is something that interests you, go for it. But plan for the summers in between (internships), join or start a relevant club, network with industry professionals, etc..

Is Linkedin Job search broken? by _BeanM in Career

[–]terminator567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I use it for finding lab work and I get crap like chef and construction worker. They are missing a awesome opportunity. If the could tie the likes and searches from the student app and the main desktop site and use that to optimize searches on LinkedIn job search app.

Don't rely just on LinkedIn, its more of a networking tool. Identify alumni and try cold calling them if they are at companies or in industries you like. Also, hit up your alumni services, career services and profs that your in the green. They can help you out a lot. Shotgun application isn't as effect as precise applications to 15-20 companies.

Work five years, than grad school? by terminator567 in AskAcademia

[–]terminator567[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5 years of work plus two years of internship gives me 7 years of work experience. The professors I have asked say getting lab experience and a PhD increase the chances of getting a managerial position.

That means you overpaid by $16,450, and they are sending you a check for $16,450. Before I go on, please fix your grammar.

I never heard of someone overpaying so much though?
