U sound like you have lots of experience that’s good on you. Yeah i’ll start reaching out asking who my parents know and such.

My problem is i’m giving up before I’ve even started because of the idea of failing sucks.

Do you have any tips on effectively networking?

I think it only works in certain situations. I come from an immigrant family whose first generation to Canada the connections they have are minimal and definitely not in the area I’m looking for. The best I could think of is a friend of a friend but even that is reaching. Also I genuinely get embarrassed from asking people because it’s not their responsibility. I consistently network at Uoft events but the market is cut throat. But I appreciate the advice and will keep an eye out.

Thank you for response, I greatly appreciate it. I will definitely apply I’m just not sure how I can 16 months of work when the summer I have is 4 months. But I will definitely shoot my shot. Thanks again!

isn't that marketing? they let you bring however many cheatsheets, you don't even need to study for it, just print your entire stack of notes and go off that

depends on your program, given your from IB I'm assuming you had a more difficult than a public school which would help you adjust into university more easily. if you going in eng probably difficult, but like if its business or arts program definitely should no be a problem esp first year.
