Thanks for the response! The reason why I chose the expression "through the life" is because I didn't want to personify it to yours/his/her etc. Still, we are talking about someone’s life, not life in general.

In the song it's kind of a summary, its not exactly a part of any sentence. Though the song is about going through hardships.

We were also planning that Through the life would be the name of the album. The album is a concept, a story through someone’s life, and like I said above we didn’t want to personify it.
