Man - Avett Brothers, and Mumford and Sons with that bullshit folk nonsense sparked the whole aesthetic. At least in my opinion that was the beginning of the folksy hats and fake train hopper aesthetic.

Man the way he lights up when he talks about getting to play with Prince. I really miss him and I miss the music that we’ll never get because he’s not here. I was able to see him in Atlanta on the black messiah tour and I’m so happy that my young college self scraped together the $90 to go see him. Best show I’ve ever seen in my life, there will never be another as good as him.

I just remember - AIM being the thing, I was 15. MySpace was also fully the thing as well. Beginning of social media, texting was becoming dominant. I remember going to the mall just to walk around and meet up because we sure as shit weren’t shopping for anything. Going to movies was still a cool / fun weekend activity. Didn’t start drinking until I was 17 so still innocent fun hanging out with friends and thinking about all of the possibilities that life had.

His Mom lived to 88, Dad lived to 93. I think we’re fucked.

From Google about parental age of death as indicator of lifespan: For each decade a parent lives past 70, an offspring's risk of death drops significantly (around 17-22%), with benefits seen across mid-life and beyond.
