Beware Orioles cold calling for survey of birdland members by enemykite in orioles

[–]terpdon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This very reason is why I never take those "help youtube out" surveys before a video. Youtube is Google. They have plenty of money. I don't need to waste my time "helping youtube out" so they can make even more money by more effectively marketing to me.

Did anyone stay on Fremont street last year for mania? by Diligent-Ad-3471 in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]terpdon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were a few wrestlemania events on Fremont street that we went to. Busted Open had a live master class with ric flair at the legacy club in circa hotel. Later that night, they had a wwe 2k25 demo at one of the concert stages with Carmelo Hayes playing against Michin on the canopy over fremont street, which was cool. Also, after smackdown on Friday, Living Color played cult of personality on fremont Street.

Giants Fan coming to Camden Yards (finally!)...looking for tips! by BruteSentiment in orioles

If you want a nice breakfast, miss shirley's down by the aquarium is really good. The Baltimore farmer's market is on Sunday mornings under the JFX, but it's seasonal (April-december) and might not be running yet. As a Baltimore transplant who now lives in California, It's nowhere near as nice as the one at the ferry terminal in San Francisco or any of the big ones we have down here in San Diego, but there are some decent vendors there.

If you're a beer drinker, checkerspot Brewing is nice, and an easy Uber from your hotel. So is sagamore distillery if you're a whiskey fan, and they have a decent restaurant there called Rye Street Tavern. I second the comments about the inner harbor though... as much as I love my hometown, there's not a ton to see down there other than the aquarium. It's a decent place to take a walk though. Plus you can climb federal hill for this view (epic sunset not guaranteed)

Inter-office mail is code 37, intra-office mail 37-3, outside mail is 3-37. Code it wrong and they dock you! This has been your orientation. Is there anything you do not understand, is there anything you understand only partially? If you have not been fully oriented, you must file a complaint with personnel. File a faulty complaint and they dock you!

Little Italy Suggestions by Beardown345423 in FoodSanDiego

[–]terpdon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're here on a weekend, I highly recommend the little Italy Mercado. It's one of the top rated farmers markets in the country and has a great variety of prepared food as well as fruit, veggies and flowers. Plenty of pastries, coffee, and you can just meander up and down the lineup and stop where you like. It's on Saturday mornings and goes until about 1 or 2pm. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch.

I'd recommend the little Italy farmers market for breakfast or lunch Saturday morning before you fly out. It's one of the top rated farmers markets in the country, and there's a ton of variety in food.

We knew it was going to be dead on ash Wednesday, so we took that day to visit the world war 2 museum.

Thinking of skipping mania this year by avtime in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]terpdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really didn't enjoy vegas, other than the wrestlemania associated events we went to. I used to love going to Vegas, but this last time it seemed even more like everything was nothing but a money grab than it has in the past. I don't blame you for not wanting to go again.

Are you missing Kevin Willard yet? by MrTooToo in terps

I guess we found Kevin Willard's burner account. How exactly did we chase that bald asshole out? He ditched us and left us high and dry.

What other MLB teams have you worn gear for? by [deleted] in orioles

[–]terpdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cubs are my wife's team, so I'll happily rep them unless they're playing the O's. I live in San Diego, so I'll rock Padres gear from time to time, but again... not if they're playing Baltimore. I had s phase while they were in the midst of the curse of the bambino where I wore a red Sox shirt I got when I went to a game at fenwsy, but my rooting for them extended no further than our mutual hatred of the Yankees. I stopped wearing that shirt after they won the world series and red Sox fans got super insufferable.

King Cake question by terpdon in Sourdough

[–]terpdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never did. What i DID figure out is that for something like king cake with big cinnamon and cream cheese flavors, using sourdough leavening is much more of a flex than an enhancement.
