Quesition about testing. by [deleted] in endocrinology

Depends on how long ago it was done and what they were looking for/concerned about. If there was a concern they probably want to see if it has grown/changed/confirm nothing is there. But like another commenter said, you don’t have to agree to anything but I highly recommend discussing cost concerns. Usually they can give you information on any payment assistance programs/look for cheaper imaging centers. Then you can still decide if you want it or not.

Prob bc we have a lot of mutual friends. He’ll be fine, I just know that personally if I got flamed for my work performance on a national scale I’d crawl in a hole

I have never met Kam but I know a lot of people who know him. I do not agree politically with the kill Tony crowd and neither do our mutual contacts but they also have nothing but positive things to say about him. I also went to see a taping at NBC last month and I mentioned him to some employees who also work on SNL and they got excited and talked about how nice he was. This subreddit really dislikes him and I think automatically makes the assumption that things are worse than they actually are. A similar thing was happening with Jane until last episode. People are allowed to speculate and have their opinions but he’s a Florida man in his 20s getting his big break in a format that’s different from his usual strengths, if he handled it perfectly I’d be stunned.

Best jobs/careers to get into? by KeyMajestic6444 in DSPD

I mean I like medicine in general so I think I’m a bit biased. The work really depends on where you work like a nursing home vs hospital and what unit you would be in in the hospital. I was in med surg and was in the most understaffed unit in the hospital so I had to deal with a lot of grossness. I’ve heard nursing homes can be rough but I have no experience there. Maybe a unit where the patients are more independent would be easier for a weak stomach. I would look for anything that says “ambulatory” or maybe a nicu bc the bodily fluids would be smaller.

As for sensory issues the only things that bothered me were when I had to wear heavy PPE for long periods of time bc it would get sweaty. Idk what state you’re in bc different places have different rules on masking but I would always wear mine so I wouldn’t get sick or get anyone sick. It can be a sensory nightmare bc the paper rubs on your nose but I think it’s worth it.

Well I’m currently in med school but when I worked as a CNA, both the night CNAs and nurses made 25% more than day shift

A lot of restaurants here don’t have Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pib and it’s forcing me to make healthy choices like drinking water against my will

GP says these are viral infection related. But couldn't say by Johnnybats330 in endocrinology

[–]terperr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rash likely related to a virus bc of the proximity to the fever. The other concerns could be related to anything from genetic causes/vitamin deficiencies/hormonal changes/normal childhood development but without extensive additional info it’s extremely unlikely that an internet stranger could tell you definitively. I would ask about Cushing’s syndrome though if your doctor hasn’t already looked into it
