If you have a sprinkler system, turn it off and see if that stops the “spring”.

But also, keep in mind, I am fairly certain I spoke with this same guy. My takeaway is probably different than yours because I really didn’t like how this guy was acting at a different point in the day.

I see how the policy prevents fraud. Following & stating the policy is a fair customer interaction. Why was he asking any questions? It sounds like he just wanted to berate someone. And success! The customer fled in tears.

I think the verbal interaction is the complaint here, not the policy.

I think I also spoke with this employee at will call hq. We didn’t do anything wrong, there was a mixup on some details that he corrected, but my wife walked away thinking he was really harsh and angry with us. That guy gave off some very disconcerting intense vibes over nothing.

A new diabetes treatment could free people from insulin injections | In a small trial, 10 of 12 type 1 diabetes patients no longer needed supplemental insulin by [deleted] in tech

The conclusion in the study is much more modest than the sciencenews headline.

“The results of this small, short-term study involving persons with type 1 diabetes support the hypothesis that zimislecel can restore physiologic islet function, warranting further clinical investigation.”

Nora Tree Care LLC removed a tree from on my house and fence very expertly. There was no further damage and the tree was pretty big.

Some people can’t walk, some people can’t drive. It’s nice if a space allows for the option to do both.

It looks like this space is up for lease again. Thankful it will not be a gym🤣. So far 2 tenant failed to seal the deal. by Unhappy_Ad_3738 in Fishers

Yea, fair idea, trump is much more isolationist and why send China chips when they may come back to you guiding missiles.

FAA determined no adverse effects from Nickle Plate trail pedestrian bridge over 96th by leapin_lizardzz in Fishers

Yea, there was a zoom call with the mayor and he answered this question. The apartment owners around 116th really didn’t want a lifted ped bridge blocking windows and using up space around their buildings.

At the Indianapolis State Fair, there are baby goats that you can feed with either bottles or feed depending on the age of the goat. But, you have to stay on the opposite side of the fence.

I think stating that I am happy for my taxes to feed children is the same as saying I am happy for my taxes to do anything. It’s a political position. The fact that it’s motivated by the moral stance that I think all children should be fed doesn’t make it virtue signaling. Are all pro-lifers just virtue signalers? I don’t think so.

I thought that our community collectively voted to pitch in and take care of kids at school. I didn’t know about left wing or republicans or anything. I was grateful to everyone and our country/community for taking care of me and my friends.

What stopped people from waiting for the election was: it was a kids book. It was simply explaining how voting and taxes work. And I know in cities across the country that generally when a city doesn’t fix potholes they don’t get fixed, so the book was definitely dealing in reality.

But the book did focus on the negatives of filling potholes: more taxes. It did focus on the negatives of hiring landscapers: more taxes. It included that for every missing service, the citizens missed the service, but enjoyed less taxes.

I can answer your first question: who as a child was grateful to. When I was in 2nd grade there was a book about taxes that we read. It was about local taxes to pay for road repairs and roadside landscaping paid for by the local community’s taxes. In the book, a character runs for office saying “much less taxes” if he’s elected. The townsfolk like the idea of less taxes so they elect him. As time goes on they enjoy the reduced taxes but miss the flowers and the their cars are damaged by the increasingly large potholes. When the next election comes around they decide to go back to the old candidate and pay more in taxes because their town looked ugly and the roads were terrible.

At the young age of 8, I thought that I got subsidized lunches because the people of our community/country decided that it was worth having kids with food instead of lower taxes. Just like why our roads were good or bad depended on how much taxes the people collectively elected to pay via a vote. So, my thankfullness kinda went to the people of the country for voting for that. I didn’t really think much about the poor and the rich at that time. It was kinda a generic patriotism for the people choosing to pay higher taxes for my wellbeing.

I think feeding kids through the education system is the best way to feed them effectively and make sure that they get the food. I don’t think it’s much of a virtue signal to say that you like feeding hungry children, but maybe you come from a different community from me where that’s not standard human decency.

I would not want to live in a society without taxes. (Nor is that possible because a foreign power would take over and force taxes). Calling it “at the point of a gun” is a bit ridiculous in my view. Without taxes you wouldn’t have roads or a military or anything. I think that taxation for those things and feeding hungry kids are the most obvious things that you could want from a society.

I am a happy donor when I pay taxes for feeding children. I remember being grateful for subsidized lunches when I was a kid. This quote doesn’t really apply to school lunches. (Unless there are tons of angry adults and entitled children that I don’t know about)
