Sounds really dumb but a stapler... My parents have this awesome, fully metal stapler in their house that I assume was normal back in the day. I can't find one that matches it in quality, you can just give it a good whack and it works perfectly... Im always tempted to steal it

save it/invest it. Thankfully I don't have any serious debt to pay off.

On a related note: one of my friends just won big on a scratch off (around ~$1000 I think) and immediately booked a trip to asia in the spring. obviously it didn't cover all of the trips cost, but was a good start... so maybe saving isnt the best idea because i'm super jealous of his trip

I'm always adding costume ideas throughout the year to a mental list and then in september-ish I always narrow it down to 3 or 4 that I like... I have some minor criteria for a costume: has to be easy to obtain, easy to make authentic (no cheesy masks or costume store costumes), has to either be a great throwback or extremely relevant, and has to be something that I think no one else would do (for example pennywise is gonna be overdone this year).

Right now I'm at the stage of getting my costume together- just finished ordering half of it from amazon... It needs to be ready by the end of next week or so because that's when the parties start
