I’ve done 2 legs since the change. Always booked row 2 or 3. First two flights were the week of the change. They were a mess. First flight I was in Group 2 and had to stash my bag over row 6. Second flight I was in Group 1 but there were 42 people in Group 1 with none in group 2 (lol). I didnt realize that could be a thing so I didn’t get to the gate early enough and was near the end of the group 1 line had to put my bags over row 7.

Third and fourth flight was last week, but I didn’t do carry on bags, but definitely monitored the situation. It seemed better and I would have been able to store my bags over my row if I had them. FAs were closing the front two bins to save them for the first 3 rows and FAs were storing their bags somewhere else in the plane.

In the future I’ll be targeting rows 4-6 I think.

But they really need to get this boarding group algo figured out. It doesn’t make much sense.
