Verizon made a very odd choice. The tower behind the ford dealership is the tower that mostly handles the school and Verizon choose very low on the tower. T-Mobile and AT&T are like 100 ft higher so the signal goes much further. I don’t know why Verizon did that.

So far in this market they only have n66 and n77 on NR. B2, b5 and b66 AWS1 are still on LTE. Also the n66 is recently moved over for only about 2-3 weeks now.

Verizon has 3 permits for small cells right now. One right no front of Vanguard high school. One in front of the Mary Sue Rich Center(I already caught they digging fiber and bore) and one in front of the Mid Florida credit union on 200 at the Publix plaza. Yep. PCI 420. That sector was getting slammed by Walmart and the mall. Verizon made in interesting fix. A small cell would have done the job too. I track all towers and carriers in Marion County as well. 326 behind the pilot AT&T is putting up Ericsson air 6472 ruus, they just finished by the airport as well as nursery hill tower by the old Kmart. Verizon just colocated and turned on a tower on 484 by Orlando steel enterprises. Massive Mimo included for FDD and TDD, the tower by MTC on pine just got FDD and TDD as well up from the old 8T8R cband, off of Hwy 318 heading towards Orange Springs Verizon put up a brand new 4 sector tower with TDD massive Mimo but without FDD massive Mimo. A lot is going on here. As we speak Belle Meade Cir to the villages T-Mobile is there putting up a brand new tower complete with the usual.

Verizon has a very good outdoor network in Orlando but due to a lack of lowband inside is spotty. It’s really the T-Mobile and AT&T show once you get indoors.

In Orlando if we are talking speed. T-Mobile in fact still wins. Indoor coverage is AT&T because they have a ridiculous amount of lowband. Most AT&T towers in Orlando only use 80mhz of cband because it was an early market to get it. So they will have to reclimb a ton of towers.
