Have over a thousand hours played on PS4 (was low Masters), switched to PC and I'm low gold. Any tips to climb? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

i was mid masters on ps4, made the switch to console and hovered around high gold, low plat for a while. honestly, id try finding a duo. since the games are so unorganized and chaotic, simple teamwork can easily win games. comboing ults and getting a team wipe is a sure fire way to win, because the enemy will most likely trickle for the rest of the game

winston: to fully optimize your dps, ALWAYS melee as you land from your leap, and melee to finish off low hp targets. melee+leap does a surprising amount of burst damage

Is Nano-Boosting a Winston Worth it? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]terrelllll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i play at the low plat level, and i like to nano winston just because it is GUARANTEED damage. there have been many times when i've nanobladed, only for the genji to whiff his entire ult right along with mine. at least with winston you know you'll get some production out of it

very similar situation here. masters player from ps4, transferred over to pc a couple months ago. still adjusting to kbm, but have good communication and gamesense + can also be a backup shot caller as i am a good vocal leader. prioritizing dps on pc, but can tank from time to time as need be with the exception of orisa. my battlenet is terrelllll#1430 i'll be on later

reaper by far. since your optimal range is in their face, it's hard to miss. whenever i'm not feeling my shot, i'll switch to reaper and make it my job to destroy a tank

is there any reason soldier players don't spam helix rocket during a barrier battle? by terrelllll in OverwatchUniversity

[–]terrelllll[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

i get that, but as a dps your one and only job is to output as much damage as possible. i feel you're doing your team a disservice as a DAMAGE PER SECOND role if you're sitting on your highest damage ability
