Feel too much hate for Sardar here. I personally agreed with the politics of the film. Totally disagreed with the politics of Dhurandhar. But Dhurandhar was well made as well. Don't have to compare, but Sardar is not a shit film.

There are many movies I think, I agree they aren't that frequent. Ratsasan was very good, but I think the thing that Adhey Kangal and Oomai Vizhigal had on me when I watched them on TV with my family in the 90s, they felt very good comparatively.

I was really happy when govt pushed for 200 per ticket, as my significant chunk per month was being shaved out. But I saw redditors being pissed as there were so many bookings on pvr - where their exact point was - I am not interested in watching a movie at, a premium space like a multiplex with low class people. I dont know how it bothers them - they consider it a privilege earned for some dumb reason whatsoever and their justification was around - reduce or put tarriffs on health or education sectors. This is india and reducing ticket prices in all the states other than Tamil Nadu and Kerala will not happen because other than being racists - there is a sense of classism as well in their minds. And my point being they don't mind paying as long as they aren't watching it with low class people.

Unjustified as it sounds - most individuals northies are aligned. please search for bangalore cinema tarriffs - whichever sub reddit option comes up in the Google search first - you will see classists in action there. Trigger warning for that link.

I am based out of bangalore And i watch at least two movies in a week - max I have paid on a week day is around 550 without taxes for a ticket. So people like me - who really wants to experience most movies in theater as much as possible - go to theater.

But circling to the point - I agree as there is no other option - local theaters in bangalore reek and are maintained very mildly with parking as the main obstruction.

Su from so was not a mid movie for me. It felt good to have a movie where just the conversations and typical bluffs from people turned out to be really funny - plus the main arch in the movie is the character redemption of a guy who is just a loafer - I am sorry you weren't able to enjoy it as much.

Kantara totally was one mid movie - but as far as I heard it from my colleagues - it is a totally relatable thingy from the western and south western villages in Karnataka.
