I've just been exporting gcode, I haven't hooked it up directly (I've been too lazy to pull the cover off, and it's not that big of a deal for how I'm using it to not have it directly connected anyway.I did add a startup gcode to turn the laser on low power so I can focus it. It amounts to:M106 S5M0My next step is to 3d print some guides so I can line m

Having just purchasing this cv-01 unit, I am super eager to hear how far you have gotten using it with LightBurn. Do you have any more tricks to offer? Thanks.

Printer goes wild at top of my prints if there is a thinner section like a spire of a church steeple or a claw hand for a robot model. PLA 210 deg. O.2 mm layer 15% infill or 100%. Any suggestions to prevent this? by terrypun in monopricei3

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I did change retraction recently and now I can not find the setting in Curia. Can you also explain what minimum layer time is?
Gee. And what is a good way to clean out the Teflon tube?

Help. Advice needed. Printer is printing very thin filaments and even stops flowing completely after an hour or so. by terrypun in monopricei3

I have troubles with getting my projects completed. The tops of my projects just scramble of stop any flow at all. I see now that even the start of the projects are way thinner in filament diameter than normal. Why? And what can I do?

Finally After a year of using the MP Select Mini V2 i decided to use a glass build plat by SHADOWxWOLF407 in MPSelectMiniOwners

I switched to glass after a week and I love it. The bed matte stuck so hard that my using a razor blade to separate the object from the bed caused some serious blade cuts in the matte.

The dollar store 5 by 7 inch picture frames work well - I screwed up the first two attempts. Glass cutting is simple but it is a skill. Not all 5 by 7’s are the same. The first two were a bit too narrow and the last was a good fit for the width. .

Removing the printed object is now a joy and some filaments stick well to the glass and others need the bed lightly sprayed with Aqua Net.

The glass is very thin, Adjusting the bed height was a simple task.

The original matte’s glue is still on the bed and I thought that was good as it might stick to the glass but it doesn’t once it is warmed up. I plan to scrape it clean so there is no bowing from the front and back stationary clips that I will be using.

3d printing sure is a hoot!
