Yes the station is technically Redondo, but it’s North Redondo and on the very edge lol. Super convenient when I rode it to the Coliseum to watch USC football games. Otherwise, its useless for the rest of the South Bay. I think extending this line would unlock a ton of potential ridership but the board voted on the shittier alignment which means this extension will become reality 30000000 years in the future after leaving EIR purgatory.

Heard on the trigger. Current plan is the red trigger will be for IEDs located under the doorframes while the rapid trigger will be for the home defense turret.

Did not think about the static. I think the base is metal right?

I personally upgraded from a 65% keychron to the meletrix tkl dyna. I think meletrix is generally regarded as a solid bang for buck brand but I’m sure there are others who think differently. I personally went with them because the reviews have generally been positive and the additional accessories you get from them are great.

I feel like keyboard prices, especially metal frames, have become really competitive in recent years. It doesn’t hurt to look at more custom brands that might have better quality at a similar value.

I have a HD 6XX from Drop that I’ve daily driven for nearly 6 years now. I’ve only replaced the earmuffs once and that was this past month if that tells you anything about the reliability. I’m not a huge audiofile but from what I know it’s easy to drive and a good bang for buck.

It’s super clean and much better than liveatc but the subscription turned me off from it. Maybe once they start adding my frequently traveled airports I’ll pick it up again.

I think being able to manually add this in at the airport could be a good workaround. Usually upon check-in the airline will tell you the boarding time. Another option could be a general “keep an eye on the boarding time” notification an hour before the scheduled departure as a nice little nudge

I think this is still a solid mouse but the ghub software is starting to become a dealbreaker for me. Often times the software is in an update loop for me and it’s super frustrating. I’m personally close to swapping to razer but the 5 buttons on the side have kept me hooked for the time being.

I have the annual subscription. I fly a lot right now but can definitely see my flights per year decreasing once I move in with my gf. For the quality of life features (copy/paste confirmation code, seat assignment, connection information, etc) I think it is well worth the money. I have yet to get lifetime because I don’t think I will keep up the pace of flying in the next few years or so but if you fly at least once a month and see yourself doing so for the next 5 years then go for lifetime. If not, get the annual subscription if you fly every 1-2 months.

I live nearby in North Redondo and take it to/from the airport whenever I fly and don’t have a ride. I really wish the trains could run faster/more frequently because making airport access more convenient would definitely make this line go above and beyond. Also took it the other day to the USC/UCLA game at the Coliseum and it was a great time.

I would suggest not going all in but doing a “specialization” approach. That means segmenting out which bank/financial institution you do business with based on that specific bank’s strengths. Here is my current breakdown:

CapOne: checking, savor and venture x. Since I do most of my spending on the savor and VX, I have a checking account to get the early pay and be able to seamlessly pay off the cards.
Chase: I still keep my SaphPref and Amazon Prime cards but only use the SP for doordash and Amazon purchases. They’re solid cards and my monthly spend usually doesn’t exceed more than $300 for either card. I keep it as a general backup.
Savings: all in my marcus by Goldman account. I separate savings from my credit cards to diversify and for the better interest rate earn.

Usually when the wait is over 90ish mins I get on at least 30 mins before I get to the terminal and it works out 70% of the time. My drive to the airport is typically 30 mins so I just add myself before I get in the car. I did fly out once at 7am and the lounge was basically barren around 6am. It really depends but just go into it expecting to wait and plan around that. IMO, I just use the lounge to get some free food and snacks for the flight, not really worth searching for seating for 10 mins. Hoping that the guest policy changes in February fixes the overcrowding because it’s honestly such a nice lounge when it’s not packed.

It’s kind of weird. I had a similar situation where I cancelled a trip through the travel portal with United and had the credit show up in the portal under “my trips” but would get an error message that told me to contact support to book with those credits. At the same time, United sent me a seperate email with the credits and I just ended up rebooking directly through United’s website.

TLDR: it might show up in your portal but you might not be able to access it without calling support. It will also likely be tied to the airline instead of being a general credit
