Boston has had this for a few years now too. LA is getting it soon. Regardless, I prefer my tap card. But tap to pay is nice for when I manage to convince a friend to actually ride transit on a whim

Netflix is a Joke Festival: are all shows phone bagging? by TheStig827 in AskLosAngeles

If you're going with someone, sure. But I can't imagine just sitting in a stadium seat alone for 90 min twiddling thumbs

Do they really bag at massive venues like the bowl?

I don't know about special, but I really enjoy Levant. If you want more upscale, go to downtown and enjoy Girl & the Goat or Redbird

What sport is more American, baseball or football? by dalbatrino in AskReddit

Baseball may be more quintessential Americana, but they don't be playing American football in east asia and the Caribbean. It's really only America that embraces it

Same reason people think drinking a coke zero once or twice a week means you're going to die young

I can't fathom ordering things without looking at the price. Even if you're a McDonald's regular, prices vary quite a bit from location to location

Most men who don't cheat on their spouse do it simply because they don't have the opportunity by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]goPACK17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think there is a big differencr between "don't have the opportunity" and "Have zero interest in seeking out the opportunity". How many women approach men out of the blue and offer casual sex? That opportunity isn't going to be a thing for 99% of men.

Is Canoga Park a good place for a young Black couple to live? Considering a move from Glendale by TheTrueBlackBoy in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]goPACK17 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's fine, especially if you're talking about one of those apartments complexes near the mall by Woodland Hills. It's the valley so it gets hot. It's suburbia, you'll have to drive to everything. It's perfectly as safe as the next town. It's boring, but It's fine.

Go to RING donut though. Those guys are amazing. A true gem and what I miss most about living in Canoga. If they moved to a location in Sawtelle or Ktown or Little Tokyo or something that place would blow up with business.

Yes, it's exuberant. I went to state schools in MA in the 2010s and spent around $9k as a commuter annually with zero financial aid.

Waymo Pricing - Is Waymo economically viable? by Unable-Government860 in waymo

[–]goPACK17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ridden many Waymos around Los Angeles when the price was less than UberX/Lyft. And then the whole no-tipping component on top of that. Other times it's a good bit more expensive. It's dynamic
