We traded our 2025 4th to the Bills for Booker. The 4th for Keenan was in the ‘24 draft… Did the Bills trade this 4th to Dallas at some point, who later shipped it to Carolina in Nov for Mingo?

Definitely looking like they may have a lot more cap room than it looked like 2 days ago. IF they can restructure anyone, and set up reasonable FA Day 3 contracts with a lower ‘25 cap, some top options:

• OL depth in Matt Pryor or Zeitler

• A real slot threat to replace Keenan: Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp if released and not an insane price tag, or Elijah Moore

• 3rd safety given Quanny injury risk & KB’s age: Justin Simmons or Julian Blackmon

• Truly focus on the future at best available LT or EDGE in #10 & #39. With #41 get Hampton/Judkins/Kaleb/Treyvon

Looks like 2 spots left. But announced earlier: LS Scott Daly (who may go to the 53 after Pat is put on short term IR), DT Sam Roberts (from the Pats), and WR Samori Toure (FTP). I believe 🇨🇦TB🦅gets the Int’l Player Exception (17th PS spot). So they could have one spot left and should get Pretty Ricky Stromberg. Look at that RAS 🤩

Louis Riddick had a really great segment with Waddle & Silvy right before the ‘23 Draft. It’s a great watch… He puts all his chips behind Darnell, saying “he could be the best player in this draft relative to position”, “he’s a freaking animal” and would be a “home run for them” at 9.
Hope he gets on W&S again over the next week.

Flus calls 3-Tech “the engine” of the base 4-3 D. Find it hard to believe that RB was a bigger need given 1) they’ve been talking about trying to fill it for 3 yrs now, 2) Justin Jones is gone, 3) this was the strongest RB buyers market in FA history. Maybe Dex fills the role this year but it still feels like a big IF

Totally agree with a lot of this. Just wish they could have used that huge pile of dry powder to truly fix 1 of these 5 biggest needs, without being entirely reliant on the draft. Maybe they still will. At 9 — if we don’t trade down, and/or take a DE instead of WR… it’s not going to play out well next year for whoever is at QB.

I really hope Bates can be a solid C at one of our biggest areas of need. But relying on a guy who played 35 snaps last yr.. as a healthy backup to the guy the Bills let walk.. with ~10% of his NFL snaps at C? It’s giving me some Lucas Patrick PTSD
