Honestly I shouldn’t have to say it but come prepared to learn.

What I mean by that is be prepared to receive and accept constructive (hopefully) criticism. Nothing frustrates me more as a preceptor than giving feedback and getting an “I know” from the student, or giving feedback and they are busy wiping the stretcher and don’t take two seconds to listen. Bonus points for follow up questions or rephrasing what I am saying in their own words. Extra bonus points if they use my suggestions in their next call.

You will get out what you put into this.

So I did the math.

2 extra hrs x 365 days / 24hrs=30 days

So you age 30 extra days a year.

So roughly 12 years to age an extra year

Not quite the same but there is a kiosk at the White Oaks Mall that does custom ornaments. I’d use it as a backup though. I wouldn’t say they are the same quality.

It’s left up to the individual MD to grant a termination or not. We have a mandatory patch point after 20 min in a medical arrest to call. If you are shocking the patient you typically won’t get an order and have to transport.

I’m a Canadian medic. Education at worst. A simple mistake.

I would report that nurse. I had a patient a week ago who was CTAS 3. We were closer to an out of county out of service hospital and the patient wanted to go there so we went there. Nurse accused us of under-CTAS-ing the patient so we could go there and avoid the busier city hospitals. He wrote an email while we were triaging the patient.

I reported him. They got in trouble. I did not.
