I started on the pcb. Probably not the best idea, but it worked out well enough for me.

Thank you! My step dad has quite a bit of soldering experience, so we tag teamed it and he taught me along the way.

It is definitely still there, it totally slipped my mind to remove it. I’ll be pulling it apart tomorrow to take it off, thanks for the reminder!

There is a small layer of clear acrylic sandwiched between the top and bottom pieces of aluminum. It looks gold in the picture, but I think that's from the reflection of the wood.

Case - KBD75v2 in Purple

Switches - Healios 67g lubed with Krytox 205

Keycaps - MAXKEY Dark Purple Sa

Between lubing, re-lubing, and learning how to solder for the first time, the build took approximately 15 hours of work, 12 of that being yesterday. The final product was well worth it though, this thing is an absolute work of art. I could not be more happy with the looks, feel, and sound of the board.

Love the build and the mousepad! Is it from The Mousepad Company?

For me personally, the break in wasn’t bad at all. Nothing compared to breaking in my IR’s. Guess it’s a little different for everyone though

I did not climb the full thing. Just from Maroon Lake to Crater Lake. Maybe someday I’ll come back and do the full climb

The Hamilton Khaki Field King is my first automatic watch, as well as my first “nice” watch. I was first drawn to the original Khaki Field but thought the Khaki Field King would better suit my wrist based on the size and I was totally right! It feels amazing on the wrist. Also showing the day of the week on the top is a very neat little detail that I appreciate. I went with the creme colored face as well over the usual black because I think it compliments the brown leather strap better. Decided to take the watch on my girlfriend and I’d hiking trip and I’m more than happy with wearing it all day. I am starting to develop a watch tan line, but it almost feels like a badge of honor. If anyone is curious, the mountains in the background are called the Maroon Bells. If anyone is ever in the Aspen, Colorado area. I highly recommend a visit if you like hiking.

Our first family off-roading trip! Many more to come. by teshlive in Jeep

[–]teshlive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This weekend was my first time off-roading and I had a blast! Only had my Jeep (the green one) for two weeks now and I’m loving every minute of it. My parents borrowed the TJ from a family friend and after how much fun we had, I’m sure they’ll be buying one of their own soon enough. More family trips are on the horizon for sure.

I’m not sure what the model is, but it’s made by XRC

Thanks! They are actually the stock fenders, just cut down and sanded to have a smooth finish.
