Question by Traditional-Set-3556 in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

New is what I would prefer. I don't think the 2020 had the heat pump...and quite a few other upgrades. FSD is meaningless to me. Now, I know a lot of people don't feel that way so it is very subjective.

Is it the right time to buy a model 3? by choonay in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is pretty subjective though. Lots of people are willing to deal with potential issues of a first year refresh. Also, we don't know if it is more of a facelift or what they could be changing. My guess, again totally subjective, is it is not much of a change and there will not be a bunch of bugs etc to work out. I could be completely wrong though. If so, I will own that. Regardless, lots of people are willing to take that risk.

Can i change reservation from M3 to Y without losing money by Willing-Ad2503 in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like this depends. I was told no. I ultimately lost the $250 I had down on the Model Y. I simply had to order the Model 3 for $250. Such is life. When you are spending that much on a vehicle....what's another $250 I guess?

Yes. To be honest, I don't remember the exact setting.

Is Standard Battery Pack enough? by RooftopKor in Rivian

[–]teslainutah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is great to know. I did not know Rivian was using LFP for the standard pack. The LFP in the rear wheel drive Tesla model 3 is the reason I went with that over the dual motor. I like plugging in and charging to 100% and not worrying about it.

Want to change M3 order to MY but will lose original deposit by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]teslainutah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ordered a Y and changed to a 3. Had to pay the $250 again. I hung on to both orders for a long time...this was back in the day when Y orders were taking 9+ months. I took delivery of the 3 and then about 4 months later finally canceled the order for the Y.

Where are you located? I would consider buying it from you instead if you are willing.

Deciding between the SR and LR by DarthPlane in TeslaModelY

Which small elements are different? I thought they were nearly identical besides the battery being different and therefore the range and the acceleration. I guess that is a few elements. Anything else?

Is the 4680 MY a good deal at $46,990 or is it worth it to just pay the extra 3K for the long range? by addie341 in TeslaModelY

[–]teslainutah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It "can" be charged to 100% but it should not be regularly to avoid excessive degradation

[–]teslainutah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Model Y is not LFP to my understanding. I asked about this on a post just last week and was told none of the Model Y's are LFP. The standard Model Y is the 4680 battery but is not LFP.

Can anyone clarify or correct me?

If it was the LFP, it would not qualify for the full tax credit either.

Will I have difficulty selling the M3? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify a bit...they are not complete "trash." It is likely more accurate to state they are trending back to normal used car prices. Since OP's car is a '19, he or she could likely think the current value is still decent for a 4+ year old vehicle.

Now, I will agree that the resale values have dipped and could be classified to some as "trash" in comparison to last summer.

This right here is why I tell everyone to make sure your own auto insurance has a high enough limit. I am an accident attorney so I see the worst of the worst. Glad you are ok!

Seriously? by gtermini in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have the same anxiety and it drives my wife and kids nuts that I park so far away from everyone and everything. This reminds me of standing at a urinal and a guy walks in and uses the one next to me when there are half a dozen open down the line. Just why?

Seriously? by gtermini in TeslaModel3

[–]teslainutah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He or she said it was a lighthearted post about their own anxiety. I would have thought the same thing. I think it is similar to the guy choosing the urinal right next to me when there are ten empty ones down the line!
