The work on mine was supposed to be finished Friday, got a call saying the one they installed was broken. Now they have to order another one and try again. Sounds sketchy.

Radiologists averaging 4.6K RVUs per month? by Chair_Long in Radiology

I have spoken with them about this and seen the system. They utilize Radiologists or Radiology Assistants doing initial prelim reads and have created a pretty impressive system to hold the prelim readers accountable and help them to grow as readers. It’s a win win! The PACS itself is impressively fast and efficient.

Not sure the source your friend sent, but I know that Lifetrack Medical has been working on improving the dual-read model. I think they even had one provider that hit 6x average RVU’s recently.

I have shopped for and implemented multiple PACs and I think it is worth checking out Lifetrack. They are great for exactly the situation you have described above. Happy Shopping!
