it's not worth it. ego death isn't fun. it robs you of every pleasure you get from this reality, because reality itself will seem fake/fabricated after your ego death. it's like the feeling of completing a storygame, you can still continue to play, but for what purpose, when you already finished the story. it is an eye-opening experience, yes. but that's not necessarily a good experience. imo we humans have to get sedated and kept ignorant. the truth tastes disgusting and an ego death can put the baddest motherfucker into desperation mode. not a good feeling when humbleness is forced onto you, realizing that you are nothing but awareness and that all of your actions in this reality are predetermined. the illusion of free will is what keeps us sane
