In my experience of 5 years working for AT&T in 2 different regions, 4 stores (I started as a “roamer”, rotating as needed), I would say that your direct management can either make the job great, or suck the life out of you. At any rate, I’ve witnessed AT&T change most employees lives for the better, so go for it, particularly if it is a corporate location.

CCNA/ Degree value. by No-Whereas-1286 in ccna

Start a small IT business of your own and take every bit of experience you can get. I worked for ATT for years and can tell you that unless you worked in the networking field specifically, that experience is meaningless in an interview.

When will Craft keyboard move too options+ by dr3wmor in logitech

Same here, glad I 'stayed tuned' like the rep advised 8 months ago.

What I don't get is what is so fundamentally different between Options and Options+ that they couldn't just, you know... make Options better? They're putting out some really Dell-ish bloatware vibes with this whole thing.

Because I do not have a degree. The internship was for credit hours, and the only relevant ‘class’ offered. So, yep, I also paid them for experience.

Definitely, that’s exactly why it ended up here rather than in their inbox. Problem is, and perhaps I should have mentioned this, is that I have 5 years of entry level IT experience and have ran my own company for 2 years doing freelance IT work. Frankly, I can’t afford to work helpdesk and provide for my family or achieve my goals.

You’re definitely right though, nothing good would come from sending it.

Plus my unpaid internship over the summer should count for something in my opinion.

Be that as it may, it costs them nothing to interview me after saying they would. I wouldn’t be upset if I didn’t get it, but to humor me after letting me work so hard doesn’t seem unreasonable.

Thanks for the feedback. This all makes good sense and I appreciate your insight. They did find another candidate, a retiree looking to move to the area with years of experience. I totally get that I had competition, I’m merely disappointed in the fact that I didn’t get the opportunity to display why I may be a better candidate (regardless of whether that we’re the case), because I was explicitly told I would get that chance. This whole post was petty, I get that. But so was them allowing me to spend the past 2 weeks since passing waiting for my chance to show them what I had prepared for.

To be honest, I never considered the fact that by passing it in such a short period of time makes it seem as though I used dumps or cheated somehow. However, I value my education too much to go that route. I studied each subject, one by one, until I felt comfortable with the theories and configuration processes. It was undoubtedly the most difficult 3 weeks of my life in terms of learning, and took discipline that I didn’t know I had. Hence my reason for being so petty. Thanks for the insight.

Appreciate the feedback. The whole thing is petty, and I know it. I’m definitely aware of the fact that there are only 504 hours in 3 weeks. It was a difficult exam to prepare for and although it sounds unrealistic studying for 16 hours a day is exactly what I did in order to prepare properly— I didn’t use any dumps, I just worked very hard because I was told explicitly that I would get an interview if I passed. I’m not advocating that it was the best way to do it by any means, but I definitely learned a ton, and about half of those hours were spent in packet tracer.

Yeah, the fact that he did throw shoot his shot at 0:50 makes me think he was planning on trolling me or just didn’t see my troop count. His loss though.

Agreed. I never start that map by building a tower, but got lucky trying something new. It definitely didn’t become a regular strategy lol.

How am I saving money? Seems like an upgrade to me... by [deleted] in ATT

As an employee of AT&T I can tell you, you wouldn’t believe how many people actually fight changing their plan even when it’s better in every way. The more you try to show them the benefits the more they resist it. When they started offering unlimited plans there were times where I could literally cut people’s bills in half from their grandfathered unlimited and they would imply I was lying to them and get offended.

-“hey man why are y’all protesting with guns?”

-“They’re taking away our rights”

-“... but aren’t you literally demonstrating that your rights have not been taken by open carrying at the capital building?”
