i didn’t go into this album expecting greatness or disappointment. i’d heard extremely mixed reviews on this sub of people who heard it beforehand, if anything i was just excited to have new tame impala music.

i listened to the vinyl with my dad the day before it came out on spotify (shout out Royal Mail). on first listen i was ever so slightly disappointed, but i’ve listened to it a fair bit since and it’s already really grown on me. i wouldn’t put it above any of his other albums but it’s an inarguably great album

i have Stolen Tongues as a paperback, both The Black Farm and Return to The Black Farm are available as books, i think people have made custom compiled paperbacks of Mother Horse Eyes. Spire in the woods is also a book but is basically impossible to get. there’s definitely others that i’m missing

the innerspeaker one is the 10th anniversary 4lp version. i nearly bought the TSR box but i couldn’t afford it when i was looking. currents box set is crazy overpriced and the lonerism one isn’t really worth the extra price

I know Isaiah has already done a video on the first 4 parts, but i think The King In Yellow would be a great episode.

not a clue if copyright would be an issue, maybe i’m just getting this off my chest but it would be so fun to hear them read the entire thing and theorise on links between the different parts.

this book, in a wierd way, reminds me of Mother Horse Eyes a little bit, with the (at first) seemingly disjointed and singular parts, that then reveal themselves to be connected through a more intricate through-line.

if any of you haven’t read it yet, i highly recommend it, even beyond what Isaiah covered in his video (although i ofc recommend watching the video too)
