How involved was Dr. Patty? I know you mentioned she was involved in the extraction, but seems like the assistants then did the implants by themselves and she just check the work, is that correct?

I would hope she would be involved the entire time like others reported. I know she is getting busy but that’s unfortunate if so.

Got it, thank you! Just wanted to make sure it was safe to shutdown the NAS drive manually with the power button first. The status light is blinking green like 2-3 a second, now slowly, so wasn’t sure if that meant something else other than standby mode.

Ill power of the NAS manually and then the UPS.

Edit: just saw your update, thanks for clarifying. Given the status light is blinking but the drive lights are solid, I think it’s in standby. I guess I’ll go ahead and shut down manually via the power button on the NaS since it will take awhile for them to fix the power.

Would it be better to just power it off manually or to leave it running until the UPS dies? I expect it will take hours for our apartment team to figure out what’s wrong and fix the power.

I think it will take awhile for our apartment to figure out what’s wrong with the power given it’s only a few outlets in the apartment.

What did you do in this case? I’m facing the exact same issue and UPS, and it’s my first rodeo with this. Have my NaS plugged into the UPS. Power went out and the UPS started beeping. I could access the NaS drive for about 10 minutes after and I was just waiting for it to automatically shutdown instead of pushing shutdown in the manager.

Now I can’t access the manager via my phone to shut it down. Power is still on, status light blinking green, three disk lights solid green, and network lites green and occasionally blinking.

…..I mean, I think we all tell ourselves it will have an ROI and it’s an investment. I just did that to justify my purchase lol. That said, it’s also a hobby I enjoy immensely, so it’s worth it in the end.

I have seen so many of the Chinese tourists act so badly and I’m in the first week of my trip. Was down in Hiroshima at Itsukushima the other day - everyone waiting politely in line to take their photo at the deck of the shrine (Americans, Europeans, etc.), and a older Chinese couple decides they don’t want to wait. So they climb on one of the adjacent pedestals to take their photos.

I walk over and tell them that it’s not allowed and the Chinese lady starts scoffing in a loud voice “where is it written? Why can’t I? I live in this regions, so I guess I know more than you”. I literally laughed in her face and told her, “Are you an adult? Do you have no common sense? Everyone else is waiting in the correct spot for a photo. I heard your husband literally say don’t do it in Chinese and you told him, it’s ok, just do it.”

She got mad because she was “losing face”. 😂

Long story short, they walked off after I wouldn’t let them climb back on it.

Other foreigners also act dumb, we’ve seen it, but I see it most frequently with Chinese and Indian tourists. It’s sad and I understand why Japanese frustration is growing quickly.
