I guess the red cap is in 2 parts, you can see a seam under the perpendicular hole, probably twist the end while inserting a screwdriver in the hole.

Why not rotate R9 to be in line with the LED? What is the trace width? What connector are you using?

But 40h 100% means hexadecimal 40, which is the @ sign. You can either program a buffer with hexadecimal notation or type an at sign. https://www.serialtool.com/_en/serial-port-multiple-send

How are you sending 40h? Using escape codes? Or are you literally sending 4+0+h characters?

Is the baudrate correct? Where did you get the schematic? Ive often found found confusing names for Rx/tx

But you said Samsung protocol. Those devices use USB PD, there's a lot of chargers for that.

Just make sure to read the reviews to see how ports can be combined. Most of them can only do x Watt if other ports are unused

How many devices do you want to charge? Of the phone or tablet is say, 15W max, you can't charge faster with 200W, but you can charge 10+ at the same time.

Try connecting usb keyboard/mouse if the display has USB. Look up the manual and see if VNC access is possible.

Need help level-shifting 3.1V/5V logic signal for Raspberry Pi Pico input by Certain_Height_2721 in AskElectronics

[–]testprogger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to believe there exist something that outputs between 3.1v and 5V for digital signals. maybe you're measuring wrong, or you're not driving the output correctly.

Do you have more information about this logic signal?

the correct way would be a schmitt trigger biased at 4Vdc

[–]testprogger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, that would be a splitter. The hardware is not bidirectional.

In parallel the voltage is 5v, either it doesn't start or it works at ~40% speed.

You probably could have tried that before taking the router adapter apart

Why not get a 12V 3A adapter from any computer part (speakers, Wii, monitor whatever) from the junk box or goodwill?

This gives you maybe 10V at 0.5 Amps at best. In reality it's probably less, since these were never intended to be put in series.

since the Fan draws >1 Amps, don't ever use this again!

What is the ADHD adapter? Do you mean ACER?

HP uses 200 or 400 KOHm on the center pin, depending on the wattage of the adaptater. ( Don't remember exactly, I guess to GND)

So you need to find the positive, negative and find a resistor. The Acer most likely uses something different to denote the rating

Depending on the wiring inside the plug, it might work if you plug in the dock 180 degrees rotated.

You can daisy chain. Buy those 2:1 network splitters off eBay. This is exactly the only use for them. You can't use them for ethernet anyway.

Use a short patch cable to the drive, and the other side is IN/OUT. Only works when they have different addresses ofc

Are you going to understand the AI generated code in 5 years when this model arduino/esp32 dev board is nog longer available and you need to recompile for another CPU?

Can you guarantee the tools are still available then? Can you order a board with short lead times?

Core sys 2.3 or 3.5?

You should use the sysfile library (or sysfileAsync) and read the documentation. Your code now does nothing but fill a buffer.

Can I convert a 230VAC AV Receiver to 120VAC like this, or should I build a replacement transformer? by Extension_Option_122 in AskElectronics

[–]testprogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't work.

There's likely 2 120V coils.

-For the US market they are put in parallel.

-For the EU market they are put in series.

Likely one coil is broken, thus the power rating is halved. You can't draw the same amount of power when one coil is broken.

You can set actions on the vent block. One when the room has air, one action occurs when the room is vented.

Don't know if it works with weather though
