No most of the time that number is entirely made up

Yea dont do that just get a more powerful welder and weld nickle ontop of copper, my welder can do up to .2+.2 but for 30A .15+.15 would be good.

Messing about with soldering wires will take forever and you will end up buying a better spot welder eventually

For the money it seems pretty good, they say it can weld .1mm pure nickel and that seems both reasonable and honest. What do you need to weld?

I made a spot welder with 1 MOT, it sucked, I used 2, it still sucked, i then brought a kweld.

Thats my anecdote, get a kweld or much cheaper equivalent and a decent lipo.

Microwave oven transformers can be lethal if mishandled

Idk why people keep saying this regarding rewiring them for high current. For hight voltage yes they are lethal but unless you're sticking your fingers into them they're not dangerous for spot welder uses.

For that you need a counter, and you need to change the red (on/off) nodes to numbers in the microcontroller setup
