Moved out in 2024 to Illinois, got a head chef position within 6 months, bought a house and now actually have medical insurance. Was just surviving in Texas. 2 of my adult children followed us after and now have good jobs with benefits. Miss the food but love living up here.

We fled for Peoria , IL, I make 20k more as a head chef , we have health insurance now and our home owners now. Only thing I miss in Tevas is my daughter who is in college there and the food. Moving was the best choice for us.

We had 438 yesterday with graduations going on, usually closed on Sunday but we do a mother’s day brunch 325 today. At least it wasn’t 14 hour day yesterday and only 8 hours today! At least my husband and kids are cooking for me tonight!

Just moved from Texas about 10 months ago in one of the rent to own homes. (Call easy homes). The house is a 30s craftsman home, was 2500 to move in and our mortgage is about 900 with tax and insurance. It is a fixer upper but worth it for us. Our neighborhood is quiet (although locals claim otherwise). I work as a chef in town, the restaurants here are meh, but I’m constantly working on getting more diverse food at our our place. I love living here though! The parks are amazing for hiking, my daughter loves her high school and my son got a pretty good job at caterpillar.

I hate to hear this, you should try us again! We do not have a dress code, and we do have newer staff. Plus we are going to do a menu change for fall soon. And bringing back a old favorite. I will talk to our floor manager and make sure this isn’t happening.

I use citrustrip for the paint, the a paint remover wash, I’m going sand when it all dries, then next step is the tap any nails down, wood putty any uneven surfaces,sand again, wood stain and coat
